Dunno, It did save Tera. Can't really say the same for other games though. Maybe Aura Kingdom since I dont know if Aeria is even a real publisher anymore. It definitely a last ditch effort for many mmorpgs before they kick the bucket. Lol you games like Wildstar that just exist for the sake of existing even though NCSoft gave that public announcement that the game would still be around but I dont think they mentioned anything about an update timeline if there will ever be one.

No it's just not their taste of MMORPG.

If you like an over the top point and click grindy PvP game with full loot. This is actually a really fun game.

It really is that bad of a game. I gave it alot more then 30 minutes, there really is no freedom to it even though its advertised as a sandbox.

Also, if you like playing mobile games on your PC. You know.. this is totally for you.
Did you watch the video? Are PC gamers really this hard up?

You could have played this shit 2 years ago on your iPad.
Its honestly depressing to see this shit.

Their idea of a sandbox is full loot pvp.  Unfortunately for them it is very far from a sandbox.  So if you like sandbox games, this probably will not be for you.  As someone said above, if you like grind and pvp you will probably like it.

Full loot players really won't be satisfied either as most gear that is dropped is destroyed and unrepairable. It was when I played at least. It was fun for a short while though, until the high end grind on nonexistant mobs and tiny maps with way too many chokepoints got to me. That and highly limited number of skills typical for console/mobile games.

A few other systems i really hated as well, such as their housing auction system that puts your housing up for bid every month whether you like it or not. Invest a bunch of money and time into the land, and it's just that more likely that someone will try and outbid you for your own property.

They do have more zones now at least, but they are still tiny and repetitive. Not sure what else has changed.

EA is launch day as far as I'm concerned. Anything after is just another ad to "buy the game without the EA bonus items".

Nah, with T6.1 you'll do well enough in most situations.

    On Topic:
I am an existing player so I won't use Steam as you cannot connect your accounts- but this is good news regardless.

Albion Online is a good game. Sure, it's no AAA production and has its flaws, but it has pretty much balanced PvP for Zergs, Groups and Solo-Players and it also has a solid, player-driven economy.

Yes, gathering ressources feels grindy, but which Sandbox doesn't have at least some grind?

If you consider trying it out, you might want to do so with friends or find a friendly guild early on. And don't stay in the blue zones (=safezone) for too long, they are just an extended tutorial. Move to Carleon ASAP.

It's not a sandbox. Just because they are called Sandbox Interactive, and that they like to tell you the game is a sandbox, and there are no quests, doesn't make it a sandbox. I actually quite like the game engine, I think it could be outsourced and someone could make a great mmo, but this isn't it.

For someone that grew up with grindy, PvP MMORPGs like Tibia, Runescape, Darkfall, this game is very bland. It's not bad. Just bland. The neverending shitty grind, because lets face it, the grind is boooooring. There is fun grind and not fun grind. This belongs to the later.

I remember my clan I had in Darkfall Unholy Wars got invited to one of the early alphas, if not the first alpha. It looked like it had potential, but nothing happened over the years. No content, nothing. What they had in alpha x amount of years ago was basically what they released with. MMOs need to start providing content. Stuff to actually do.

After watching countless Twitch streams of this game about 8 months ago where everyone was playing PVP, I decided to give this game a try. I was completely disappointed as everyone was only showcasing high level pvp. I am sick of developers calling their games sandbox because they have no content. The game starts off with some decent tutorial quests to show you the ropes and then bam, nothing ever again. You just go grind mobs and gather endlessly with nothing else to ever do ever again. This game needs something else to fill peoples time between their first hour and when the good pvp begins.

That tutorial is basically what they have worked on for 5+ years, so it better be good.

It needs more Runescape. Or... Just more.

Just because you could play something on a mobile platform doesn't make it inherently a bad game. That's a really bad way to look at anything. I played my NES yesterday, because of the hardware limitations of an NES are you saying that the games are bad?

I don't need to watch the video, I've played the game, quite a bit actually. It's a PvP game, it's grindy. That's the type of game I enjoy. Graphics don't matter to me as long as the gameplay is fun.

I don't know about that, the sales on steam are insane sometimes. I wouldn't buy half the stuff I buy if the sales weren't so good.

Not really but there is no reason why "Black Desert Online" and "Albion Online" can't be connected via steam when "Funcom" has made a way for you to link your TSW account to Steam however you can't unlink afterwards.

I mean it is possible it's just the developers not really giving players the option, and likely because they want to make more money given Albion should have launched on Steam it could have cut back issues on the fraud they claimed was happening, and Steam takes 30% of all transactions from what I've read online so for every $100 USB spent thats like $30 USD steam gets just for having the game there on their platform.

Once people realize grouping/guilds are required past tier 6...be ready for the screams and hatred.
