imageEmissary Selection Clarified, Press Event Wrap Up & Panel Q&A - Bless - MMORPG.com

Bless News - The Bless Online Steam page has a trio of new articles that stem from last week's press event, each covering a different topic. The first provides a photographic look at the event and the testers. The second gives readers insight into the selection process for the Emissary Program. The last, and perhaps most interesting, is a Q&A covering a host of topics including premium membership, Founder's Packs, Collector's Edition details and what "premium customer service" is & how it functions.

A quick cash grab in the last region that remains to be published on before it goes rock bottom. They gotta' recover all those investments made into 'improved combat system'. Failed in 3 regions, gonna' fail in 4.

"You're being too harsh, did u even play the game?"

It sucks, it's like they put aion and tera and made a trashier version of the two. Don't believe me?

I love mmorpg's and play almost any mmorpg there is, but this one I'm not touching. But hey, each to their own.

    No plans for PvE-only servers

Peace Declaration Items can be purchased for gold at max level to remove PvP flagging. The effect lasts 10 minutes. Lumena can also be used to purchase the Peace Pledge item.

those 2 are big turn offs for me forced pvp and the option to pay for very short term anti gank. I was pessimistic before want to give it a shot over time if things get better but now it no different then arch age to me, something that i see talked about but never touching.

It's a PvPvE game. If you don't like PvP, stay away from Bless.

Are you sure this is correct? I'm trying to get info on this, only thing I can see is that you can buy these for lumena at max level and/or gold before that.

I'll tweak the language. Gold BEFORE max level, Lumen after, though I can't imagine that players can't still buy for gold. I'll see if we can get clarification from the team.

    From the Q&A:

Q: Is there a PvP avoidance item? If yes, what are the details and how can we get it?
A: Yes! There is. Before reaching the max level (45) players can use gold to purchase Peace Declaration item, and the effect will last for around 10 minutes. After reaching max level, players can use Lumena to purchase the Peace Pledge item instead.

OK @Frazy123 j- I reached out to Neowiz and this is what they said (and I'll add it to the article):

It is correct that at max level players will need to use Lumen to purchase the Peace Pledge item. The reason is that we don't want max level players to skip out on PvP easily since the game's RVR is largely about it. BUT you can earn Lumena by playing the game. You don't have to spend money.

No such thing as forced pvp in a pvp game.

That's like playing baseball and saying "forced batting!" or Basketball "forced dribbling".

It's not forced PvP - it's part of the base gameplay.

I just don't understand this idea of "forced PvP"  when the game is PvP to begin with.

I mean this assumes that every game has PvE is the norm - and anything that is not PvE is forced... this is flawed reasoning.

It's because people think every mmo should cater to every person and therefore, if there are no efforts made to mitigate certain mechanics, they are then "forced".

I don't think they're so much hating on the game for that fact, just stating the reason they're skipping it. It's like someone saying "I'll never play WoW because of its tab target combat system". Yes, pvp is part of the base gameplay, just like tab target is part of WoW's.

I hate when developers try to straddle the fence this game, the purpose of this game is to play pvp with a little some pve elements. Why we need flagging at all in endgame. That kills the game for me. This why BDO excute perfectly with open pvp at lvl 50 with no flags.

Aion and Tera are my two favorite games and a lot of the guilds and players I've seen around the community thus far are people I either know from those two games, or who came from BDO. Those of us that play Korean PvP MMO's are a consistent community that enjoys these types of games. It may not be your cup of tea, but it's definitely a lot of people's cups of tea.

Wanting to play Bless but not PvP is sort of like a vegan who insists going to a BBQ restaurant and then complains constantly about lack of vegan options on the menu - hello?

Love this quote. I'm using it elsewhere on the internet. This is a keeper. You can replace "Bless" with the name of any PvP game and it's such an amazing response to a comment I see far too often.

It said 10 on the post Neowiz posted on Steam last night. At first it said 20, then they revised it to 10 which makes sense since in JP it's a 10 minute item right now as well.

Honestly, if you're a PVE only player and you can't take the hint you might have a disorder. These guys are being the most blatant with their PVP or die stance than any developer I've seen. Everybody else tries to coddle. It's one of the few things I still respect from Bless at this point.

For the sake of future attacks, please remember after 2-3 months Bless did not "fail" because of catering to PVP. Don't try it. XD

I was expecting this kind of stuff for the subscription and I'm fine with the bonuses because subs used to be subscription, but their stuff about premium not being a subscription is bullshit.

I still wonder about the cash shop, $15 subscription never been P2W but a game that asks you to keep your wallet open while playing is the stuff I avoid like the plague.

You must not have played during the first two or so years it was out. On the PvP servers (primarily Mount Tyrannus and Lake of Tears) it was a huge PvP MMO with a lot of GvG battles, the town territory battles, etc. It changed after that, but when it first launched it was a great game.

I want to add to that, it shows that PvE is the key why Tera's still around :D at least it reasonable to me. Like I always PvP only make sense when everyone play by the rules/spec/connection/etc etc, but then again who is a PvPer ever want to play fair, right? That is why it always puzzles me PvP over the internet make as much sense as wanting a soda at a Tea House.
