The Realm Online : Finvarra's Fortress New Official Server Launch June 1 2018

Today marks the day that The Realm Online makes its comeback with Finvarras Fortress the new official game server!  This is the very first US MMO game of all time.

Yes, the grandfather of them all.  Yes, it is still played and has stayed alive through everything that 20+ years has tried to throw at it.  I played this game since I was 14 and I'm 36 now to put it into perspective and have kept my old accounts for all these years still coughing up the monthly charge to play my toons and say hello to friends of old and find out what is new.

My kids and I play this game and have been for all of their young years going back to when my son was just 3 years old and already clicking and fighting on The Realm Online which was a great way to introduce all of my kids to use a computer.  When they got an Xbox one they still would rather play Realm same when they got a Wii U ages ago.  I found interesting that a low graphics quality game when compared to today's standards, was much more of an attraction than their latest high-end graphics big studio games.  We love to play together as a family.

The big deal is that this game has been licensed to Rat Labs LLC.  They are a group of longtime players of The Realm Online and have a strong passion for the game and its long-lasting lore.  Today marks the release date of the new server which you can download today at http://realmserver.com and check it out for free.  There are two types of accounts, Citizen (free) and Noble Citizen (paid).  Play for free and if it is worth it to you as a new or old player returning you can play and will be lost in this game for hours, days, weeks, months and years if you give it a spin.  I have 4 accounts and I play all 4 at once on my 55" TV called multi-boxing which many of us players like to do.  My 3 kids also play and we all have a blast finding new weapons and gear bringing back old memories in a timeless game. 

 
I am looking forward to playing this new server and I hope to see you there too.  I am not employed by Norseman Games or Rat Labs but just a long time player that is excited to play the new server and hope to meet you too!  Say hello when you get there on the game help channel and that you read my article on MMORPG.com and I would love to friend you and help you get started, so I go by Vash, ChiTown, WhiteOwl, and Chantz.

Just a tip when creating a character choose all Intelligence Wizard to use a short sword, or All Strength Giant or Orc if you use 2 handed weapons,  or All Dexterity if your a Theif and use long or broadswords.  I personally won't be choosing a human but I wouldn't be surprised if there are some items that only humans can use to balance this race of player out to equal or overcome the weakness or lack of abilities that a human has which is supposed to be a "balanced race". 

Get on and test it out and ask questions. I will be there to help you along with all of the others who are longtime veterans of this nostalgic game we are all so excited to play today.  Expected new server launch is around 7 PM EST today but you can get your accounts all setup and check out the old server which we still have access to play as well as the beta FInvarras Fortress test server.
