This is my reaction to an MMO advertising for another MMO that isn't related in another way, with even negative news (bless "refuges") about their own MMO
My Skyrim, Fallout 4, Starbound and WoW + other game mods at MODDB:
They have a Grabber script ( don't know if you know what that is ), which basically grabs News from major websites about Bless Online. They however, just added the Keyword Bless , which will take all related News about anything which starts with the word Bless and add the said News into their website.
All they need to do is change the Keyword into *Bless Online* .
They are pretty bad ( as I said before ) when it comes to Marketing and such, but your reaction is more or less .. laughable.
Between GW2 and Bless, GW2 no contest. It's far superior, even than most other current MMOs, but.. y'know.. bless isn't the worst thing in the world. It has its moments.

If someone more experienced ran things, Bless would have a lot more moments, also it probably wouldn't have failed so many times already
I'll tell you this though, Neowiz has been exceptionally amazing in terms of responses.
More companies could learn a thing or two about their willingness to respond to issues. Maybe this is only a temporary thing because it's launch, but every few hours there's something new posted about a thing that needs fixing that they are looking into or making a change to.
They may not have balanced the classes properly on the last go round, but not even a day has gone by and they've already addressed it and scheduled fixed to be put in place. I'm extremely impressed with their responsiveness.
Lol! Some poor sap is gonna get yelled at for not catching that on time!

Bungie also responds fast and schedules things.....that's going well for them...
As for the topic at hand....this really isn't helping them....

Sure they are responsive - but look at the end results of their action - the PvE nerf patch is a disaster, the launch - wrong ini settings, PvE ez-mode, 5 year old dupe exploit etc...
I would be a lot more impressed if they took the time to test the changes - being super responsive and doing on the fly untested changes - any studio could do this.
Quality > quantity
If you took your car to a shop that was super responsive but they kept breaking different things on your car every time they work on it
OR
You took your car to a shop that took a week to fix it - but the fix was correct and your car ran fine.
Which one would you be more impressed by?
You and your comparations ...
Is EA, so get used with. People who bought it and stop playing because of the Nerf, they will be back to at least try it again when Bless is in a better shape, since is B2P, so no biggy.

EA...yeah, with how many releases? How many years of development? They might be super responsive but they suck at everything else.

Here's the thing, would you prefer the shop fixed your car after 2 weeks while you do nothing? Or would you rather you be able to use your car and they fix it while you use it?
See the comparison doesn't make sense.
They should have tested things a little better, no denying, and I'm miffed about the PvE issues, but here's the thing, if you're saying that the game is in worse condition than it was 5 days ago, you'd be wrong. Every day they've put out patches to fix something or make things more stable.
You might say they didn't do development properly, and I hear time and again, they had years to do this, they had years to do that, this "isn't an early access game" and y'know, I would have to say, from their responsiveness they aren't treating it like an early access game. But it IS an early access game, IE a beta.
The fact of the matter is, they aren't breaking something new anymore than GW2s balance patches break something new, it's balancing, they didn't "break" PvE, they just didn't balance it properly.
Much of the game isn't "complete" but it is all playable in some state which is far and away a big shift from the founders launch days.
Not saying every change has been gold but I'm not going to hit them for being responsive and making changes when most of the time we hear nothing from developers for weeks in regards to catastrophic fixed and when we finally get something, it's too little too late.
Why do so many people believe this? Early access - means exactly what it says - early access to game - NOT beta. If the steam launch was beta, it would say BETA - it doesn't say that because it's not beta.
The are being super responsive because it's their ass on the line - they just had a bad launch, they deployed a bad patch - it's a Saturday night and the managed to hit 18K on steam in the evening for the first weekend post launch. The numbers are supposed to go up the first weekend of steam launch not go down.
Of course they are going to be responsive because things are not going well, when the ship is sinking - you'll find everyone is very responsive.
If that were true, there would be a lot more developers being a lot more responsive. Which isn't the case.
A game in development that isn't in beta, what would that be called? Well these days they call it early access, but 10 years ago it was called a closed beta test. Maybe you've forgotten, but paying to get into a closed beta wasn't that long ago, games were unfinished, people paid for a box to get in, and if we're all honest with ourselves, that hasn't changed, it's just called something different now.
What is early access: "Get immediate access to games that are being developed with the community's involvement. These are games that evolve as you play them, as you give feedback, and as the developers update and add content."
That's pretty much exactly what closed betas are. Unfinished games that are being shaped with the assistance of the closed beta community... so if we want to talk semantics, that's another story.

Well said, I very much agree with this. Most people seem to think ( or want) EA to be a 95% finished game and there really is no such requirement. EA replaced the closed community from BERAs with an open community, which on the positive side brings in more players and money, but on the downside all your dirty/unfinished laundry is out there for all to see and you need SERIOUS expectation management, as is clear from a lot of threads around these parts for instance.

But even with all the Marketing ...fiasco , I still have faith in them. They will learn how to do things better.
