Studio Wildcard has sent out a brand new trailer for the next ARK: Survival Evolved expansion, Extinction. Players will be sent out to conquer the ultimate challenge by defeating roaming Titans that dominate the planet. "Complete the ARK cycle to save Earth's future".

Really had a lot of fun with Ark when it first came out, despite the fps being abysmal. Sad to hear its still not optimized after all the cash they have raked in from "xpacs and dlc"

As long as folks pay for the DLC and expacs, the message to the dev is clear: an optimized experience isn't important.

I loved this game, and during all of Early Access, we kept hoping they would optimize it. Me and my girlfriend both have computers VERY capable of running this, and I would run at decent framerate on lower settings, and hers would run at 30 fps at really low settings. It's unoptimized as hell still, that has caused me to quit as well as everyone who played on my server. We all moved to Conan Exiles because at least there we have none of these issues, and you don't have to fight with the game to build things (half the time objects wouldn't connect unless you worked at lining them up to how the game wants it). 

They keep releasing ports of the game on every possible thing while not optimizing the original. From what I heard, it still runs like garbage on the PS4, and the Xbox One. Now they are porting it to the Switch? And releasing more DLC? I think maybe they just aren't capable of optimizing what they have so they are ignoring it.

people keep buying new DLC, why bother with optimization? I quit after they tried to sell the first DLC while they were in Beta. Not touching anything done with this developer ever again.
