Not sure if I've seen this, but I saw it on the steam page, so I thought I'd share.

Basically,

It's looking bleak, but not as bleak as people and especially steamophiles think.

RG:  All is well!  We're just waiting on some additional whale funds (I'm sure as hell not spending any of MY money) to come in so we can fund our big marketing push, that we apparently forgot to do at the actual launch of the game.

Yeah man I saw that article too. Its not looking as good a community in comments as many shroudophiles claim either. Ya see all that trash talkin an threats ta visit in real life critics? An throwin out personal details and tryin ta hurt people about ex girlfriends? An lyin about all tha real cash money tradin people do?

An did ya see portalarium are now running stretch goals again an telethons every 2 weeks? Dunno what your interest in minimizin the shonky future of shroud is but it aint gonna be around for much longer even if people are sayin it on steam.

LOL marketing, sure. Not like the game has been out for years and had not one but two launches covered by multiple major gaming sites. Multiple free trials...

I'm pretty sure people know. That's why they are staying away.

They honestly believe there are "millions" of Ultima fans who would flock to a new Richard Garriott game if they only knew it existed.

They seem unaware that many of those same people are well aware of RGs under performance for many years.

They also are the same people disappointed when several Ultima titles were announced and then cancelled.

If this game followed Ultima more closely it would have been great. But they lost their way really early on.
