After thinking about it... this doesn't really make sense. Rewarding the more skilled/powerful with more power through more powerful gear is bad design if you want a balanced PvP system that feels good.
In a typical RPG, the player is rewarded with better gear and items so they can challenge more powerful enemies. In MMO PvP, the winner in PvP/PvE is rewarded with more powerful items for what exactly? To stomp noobs? The PvP reward system needs to be totally rethought for a better experience. Power progression Makes sense for PvE... for PvP, not so much.
Starting to think that PvP doesn't even belong in MMOs.. I think most people play MMO games for the power progression but that totally messes up any hopes of balanced PvP.
