It’s been a long eight months waiting for the PC release of Monster Hunter World following its console debut in January of this year. We got our hands on a copy to see how the franchises “most accessible title” plays with the old mouse and keyboard and if there much graphics improvement to be had.

    If I see one more complaint about "forced grouping" on an mmo site I think I'm going to lose my mind.....pretty soon y'all will be like "forced gameplay, I'm out" .....

    This is a good game, I can't see myself buying it again as i own it on PS4 and grew sick of it but if you haven't played it yet and have any interest in Monster Hunter i'd highly recommend the game.

    Come on what's these Pro's and Cons?

    A cat companion is a Pro? Why?

    A step learning curve is a Con? Ok you can't jump in and do the entire game without having to read something? That's a steep learning curve these days? Its not Dark Souls. :)

    They also force you to switch your PC on to play, its a total nightmare. :)

    well, the majority these days prefer watching other people play video games. casual friendly !

    Over-reliance on grouping in the later game.

    Agreed ! All games should be single player, in multiplayer games.

    You don't need to group. On the PS4, most people said to solo the whole game first, then group after so you know all of the mechanics.

    This type of games are all shiny and fun for me the first times you play through content, then it's that repetition thing also common to Warframe that makes me just play it casually instead.

    My cat companion is named @Kyleran. And you dare to say that isn't a definite Pro? 

    Regarding learning curve, yeah well the hunt itself isn't that complicated but the rest of the game kinda is. Isn't it?

    Odds are you named your companion that because he is sort of slow and dies often.

    For people who enjoy the process of whatever is repetitive that has always been the case. Do you play entirely dynamic games that never have any form of repetition at all?

    I want to try the PC version, no longer have a PS4 and i never was too good with console games.. Prefer PC or Nintendo systems. :P

    The cat companion has actual function with regards to your hunt, as I understand it.  It's not just a pet or anything like that.

    Fully agree with this I like the fact I need to put thought into games. Silly con list.

    Watched Rohrikan or whatever his name is,did not think much of what i watched.
    The game looks unpolished and really not that good.
    The framerates are at times really bad,better have a good rig.Considering ONE player on screen there is no excuse from such poor optimization and dude had a decent rig.

    Mouths on the npc's often keep moving after the dialogue stops.Seeing those npc heads pop up on the side, telling you what to do during combat and what to watch out for,just looked bad,dumb,wrong.
    Overall,looks like a cheap small effort game design,no interest to play it.
    Insult to injury..after watching him play for about 30 minutes,he leaves and sends us off to watch someone playing Dark Souls,omg that game is garbage,so i got a dbl dip on two bad games.

    Already own it on my One X so no need to buy again, but it s a lot of fun.
