Time for a Transformers MMORPG?

I think it is time for a MMORPG based upon the IP. All of the games to my knowledge are multiplayer pvp shooters. There are MMO elements, but Transformers Online is not truly an MMORPG.

Travel powers? Check. You have automotive, military vehicles, and beast morphing bots.

Factions? Check.

Classes? Check. Fall of Cyberton already established this.

The ability to create your own toon? Check. FoC and WfC also established this. There are a vast array of customization options for player bots.

Expansion potential? Check.

Cash shop? Check. There are near endless possibilities for player weapon skins, costume parts, etc. They could even have the iconic bots as playable characters in PvP like DCUO does for their legends.

It just feels overdue imo. I am a big kid. I always hung on to the classics. Not a Fortnite or MOBA fan. I usually stick to the old IP I grew up with.

It's been tried. Then it got shifted to a MOBA/Arena then it got canceled.
    I wish it was otherwise.

Jagex started working on one then dumped it.   I'm willing to bet they didn't like IP management looking over their shoulders, and IP management didn't like Jagex'es culture.

They do look cool in the movies.  It would probably be very complicated as each character would be a different type of shapeshifter.

Ah, Transformers Universe? I was actually looking into that one. I was not sure if it had character creation like those dead server Activision titles.

It could be, but it has been done before in the aforementioned dead server Activision titles. The chest piece directed what machine the player transformed into.

I think the shift to a MOBA killed it. Those are throw away titles anyway. No staying power.

Would love a REAL mmorpgin transformer universe. I still collect them. Almost have all of Gen1.

would be cool but we'd probably need about 10+ years to get that to work.

I had fun once, it was terrible.

I play that one. It is solid, but no character creation kills it for me. Feels more like a PvP shooter. Everything is staged in a generated small confined map. The characters look cool though, although I have no idea wtf is going on, or what they are saying.

    Why do you say that?
