Once again the Switch proving it is more capable than many give it credit for. ;)

I'll be playing it on the switch, I would love an actual ARPG on a mobile device. It would be great.

    1. I assume that footage is from a docked Switch?
    2. While I do have multiple versions of a few different games, I'm not sure I could justify a third copy of D3 when and if I buy a switch. But I'm not really sure I'm the target audience.

Yeah not sure I want to buy this for Switch either. I already have the PC version.

My friend is ecstatic about it though and IF I were to get it, it would be so him and I could play together.

Not sure this game is worth getting a Switch for though. There are MANY other games that are worth it so this is just icing on a VERY sweet cake.

I'm in front of my pc just about all the time so no Switch for me.

Very low res and super zoomed in compared to all the other versions. Can hardly see any of the surroundings, which is important in these kinds of games.

It's proven what the Switch isn't capable of to me. So blurry....
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I agree, the video is not very good. But it is also not representative, the Switch version has the same resolution as the Xbox One does, not 1080 but 900 docked and with about 300 hours on that version I can safely say it looks sharp. In handheld its 720 but that looks a LOT sharper then this video does on a screen that size. So, I judge it by frame rate and that looks buttery smooth tbh, the quality of the video should have been better though.

As for the zoom, it looks a bit closer then pc indeed but not closer then consoles at all. Will buy it again day one, especially with seasons being included.

But first Monster Hunter next week, can't frigging wait and a free demo is up. Will be a shock to those who joined the series at MHW but god, the amount of content is staggering, and the difficulty, and 16 weapons to choose from. Aaarrggh

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

So bad that it significantly outsold it's predecessors? That there are people who like it better than the previous games (not me but that's another thing) and that people are excited to see it on another platform.

And life support? As opposed to the other Diablo games that are/aren't on life support?

Not at all to take away from your point, but D3 was released to a significantly different landscape than 1 or 2.  I dislike comparing sales numbers when the two titles are from widely different eras in gaming.  I se it much more when folks compare athletes.  Like, how in the hell do you really compare Babe Ruth to Barry Bonds in terms of who was the better hitter?

One used steroids to get those records and one didn't?

I only got that Sovrath was using those sales numbers to show what a piece of rubbish comment that was to make in the first place. For me the point doesn't really take away from the greatness each title has brought to the series and the genre as a whole.

For any of its other flaws, the co-op play in D3 the standard by which I measure all other ARPG co-op play. It's easy drop in, drop out. The chat client is a dream and promotes community interaction. That's a Blizzard feature not just D3, but still I think it adds a lot to any title they offer. I consider it a feature of StarCraft   as well.
Certainly: my first sentence states that it isn't to take away from his point.  The market for D2 was PC only a long time ago.  D3 is multi-platform title released to a much larger consumer pool than its predecessors.  That context is worth noting if you're trying to compare the titles to make any point, imo.

And I know you know how the analogy applied here.
