Yes, loot boxes are problematic for those persons unable to confine their indulgence in them to what they can comfortably afford. The same is true for any chance based purchase over indulged in, or for that matter anything else one spends on uncontrollably.

However, none of those things are problematic when the money spent on them is confined to an amount that doesn't threaten that person's well-being or that of their family. They are simply doing as they wish with their disposable income as we are all entitled to.

The loot boxes aren't the issue. The inability for some to control their spending on them is. As a personal issue it is best addressed with a personal resolution. Such persons will be far better off learning how to keep their spending in control than if loot boxes are simply done away with, as it is unlikely every that with this issue have it confined to loot boxes only.

Hey there! Thanks for sharing this interesting read about the link between loot boxes and problem gambling. I completely agree that it's important for the industry to take responsibility for this issue and remove loot boxes from their games. It's alarming to see how much money some individuals can spend on these chance-based purchases, and it's crucial to restrict access to loot boxes to players of the legal gambling age. As you said, it ultimately comes down to personal responsibility and learning how to control spending.BTW, have you checked out the Slot community recommendation (슬롯커뮤니티추천)? They have some great resources for responsible gambling and tips on managing your spending while still enjoying the games.
