they shouldnt have released this early, it should have been early access, and all problems would be solved.
my other hangup is they shouldnt force the player to build all party members, its too much
it seems as a d&d campaign they didnt allow for certain playstyles, chaotic evil is guaranteed loss, lawful good is literally impossible
they gave too many options and then didnt accommodate those options like a d&d campaign without a DM

I can't believe how many game-breaking bugs made it to release. I understand this is a small studio, but damn. Did they have an orangutan do the testing? I guess they never heard that you only get one chance to make a first impression.

The further you get into the game, the more of a buggy mess it becomes.

there are many bugs indeed and maybe the state it was released in was more beffitting an early access launch.

as for this part: [quote]Hidden “Game Over” death timers[/quest]

The game's difficulty can be customized and the've recently added an option for "invincible kingdom". Now the only thing that will get you defeated is ignoring your main quests, mainly the monster invasion ones, which come with timers. There are some quests that have hidden timers but most of those will not result in a "game over" if ignored, however, it sure is best to try not failing any companion quests as it may lead to bad consequesnces at the end of the game (aroudn chapter 6) due to (mostly) some bugs with the chapter 6 areas.

Overall, it's a very pleasant game and I've played it a lot over the past two weeks (got 92 hours in the game on steam and around 30-40hrs on a cracked version before I realised it's my kinda offline game and bying it). I enjoyed it as much as i did Divinity 2: Original Sin maybe even a bit more due to the whole kindom management, the deep character building, the traditional loot system, the choice of pre-made companions and the option to make custom ones (some of the pre-made ones are quite OP in regards to starting stats and the banter between some of them is sometimes awesome).

As said by others the further you get into the game the more bugs you'll encounter. Most people advise waiting a month or two for the devs to finish with the hotfixing and move onto proper patching and big updates. I'm not a D&D expert and foudn myself pausing researching a lot of stuff regarfing skills, mechanics, etc. and it turns out that there are quite a fewq skills/feats that don't work as they should or aren't as strong as in the PnP version but in recent patch/hotfix notes i've seen the dev addressing some of those broken skills/feats/mechanics.
