You new to gaming buddy? Even the big dog WoW has and will always have issues with queues. It's the nature of the beast...deal with it.
Seriously what kind of person assuming an adult (since you apparently have a kid, a little scary) cries for hours about a video games he doesnt like , finds boring and has no intention on playing ? Seriously do you find this behavior normal?
Apparently you don't know how a queue system works.
Let me "carefully" explain it to you. The point of a queue is that you placed in it, assigned the current highest number and then slowly, when more people login (and other log out), your queue number goes down and you eventually get in.
So enlighten us how your current queue progress is going on the Anon server?
I have my client running in the back ground and it's sitting at the same number for over an hour and many people are complaining about a non-function queue on the official forums and facebook. See the two topics I posted.
I think it's you being the child here, not me.
PS. I have played WoW...so I know about queues. I still play FFXIV and on a very popular server that has queues every night at prime time. So yeah.... I know about queues kiddo and how they are supposed to work.
Patience little buddy it's a virtue. You will soon be ingame so you can go find stuff to complain about. Want to level together?

I'll admit to being very curious about this Legendary server, even if it doesn't offer anything new. I wonder if the players playing on this server are true 'returning' players, or even new players, and not just people starting a new character on a new server. I'd like to see how much, if at all, this new server really affects players grouping -- LotRO is old enough that a good number of people playing this will simply be running through their 'cycle', through Bree for deeds and the like. Will the simple fact of having a new server prompt grouping? I've already seen a lot of people here that seem to imply that will happen.
Maybe someone who can get in will report on the grouping aspect. I'll continue being the unwashed F2P player.
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
Bad idea.... it's just an initial rush now with everyone trying to get in and reserve their character names, within a day or two everything will settle down and people spread out over different zones.
Opening up a second server and you start spreading people thin over two servers and then within a month or two you got a population problem on both.
They already use instancing and can run multiple copies of each zone, so it's just hectic now with the starter zone, but most will move out of it quickly enough.
The real issue is that the queue system is broken and people are just stuck and won't be able to get in, unless they play the frantic logout/login mini-game. So typical SSG way of fixing, use a sledge hammer instead and throw in another server lol. /sigh
GM just commented anor only has 1683 players online, and they cant even get us into the server typical.
ssg at its best.
I seriously hope their server hardware can handle more than 1600ish players. A typical MMO server should be able to handle 5000 players minimum, especially when you use instancing.
I should have installed yesterday. The installation is taking forever. Usually when I try and play LotRO it makes me want to play DDO. Hopefully, this time with a lvl 50 cap and slower XP gain, it will be able to hold my attention longer.
He also updated the display feedback is not working correctly but the queuing system is. The server is at capacity and they will be opening another server tomorrow, Ithil, so friends can roll together. That's quite a response. Great for them!
Yeah this is awesome news Just saw this on their Facebook page a few minutes ago!
I've pissed and moaned about this Legendary server enough...almost!
Snide remark: I wonder how long the queue's would've been on a true classic server bug and lag free experience.
Serious remark on my reservations: I'm truly glad peeps are getting warm fuzzies over logging into a fresh server/economy, but that's just not enough for me to play it. I don't want to group with strangers, I don't play the AH game, and none of the issues that hurt the game have been addressed.
Serious remark on LOTRO Love: I do hope fellow players enjoy the graphical improvements they talked about in the vid, and I hope SSG will get enough money from this (I'm a lifer, but I do tend to still buy shop currency from time-to-time so still give money also), to give this game the much needed maintenance it deserves.
And I agree with you ladies/gents on preferring a Sub, and not minding to pay it as long as I'm playing. Nothing in life is free, and if something is free there are always strings attached...especially my love.
