There are two different shows. One is 'the Hound' the other is 'the Dude'.

Edited for explanation, one is Game of Thrones and the other is The Big Lebowski.

Yep can confirm it is online for me in 'Murica.

But my god I'm already getting bored and only just hit level 5. No NPC's to talk to equals a dead world to me.

Although I know that this is a different game than the previous Fallout games I am missing any interaction with "humans" AKA NPC's. It is still a Fallout game. It seems weird to run around doing quests and only meeting the corpses of people I'm helping. The HoloRecordings are nice but do not in any way replace "talking" to people.

I'm trying to like it but it might not be the game for me.

There's a ton of story in Fallout 76, it's just that you have to listen to recordings, read lots of entries and notes, and look at your surroundings to paint a picture of things that happened. Like finding entries from a student researching something at one location, and then in another location finding out in other terminal entries that research lead to other events, with the placement of corpses, furniture, damage, etc. all painting a deeper picture of what happened.

It definitely can take a lot more effort to get story we normally would have just been told by one NPC, but when I find all these clues and the story just starts to piece together... I've been having lots of "Whoa... that's so cool!" experiences.

"click...brrr...Hello? I got stuck in a recording, some sort of Bethesda bug, can anyone help?"

Seriously I like the idea of piecing it together as long as there is enough of that sort of content. :)

I do occasionally get some time to dabble in some games here and there at work, but that's not what I meant.  I had to log out of the game to go to work.

I entered in a "test vault" and read the report of the overseer and the failures of said vault. The deaths of it's habitants and the overseer's despair because the help they said would get never came. Later I went to his room and found a skeleton peacefuly lying on the bed - Under the bed was a box of rat poison.

People spat the same nonsense about Fallout 4. Just look around, there are stories everywhere. Notes, logs, holotapes, environment and NPCs that will say something about the world.

Edit: Yeah, it's online. I'm playing it (PC). My brother on his PS4 can't access it.
I think perhaps the complaints about not enough story or NPCs is no large, bright yellow question marks or exclamation points perhaps?

I played expecting GTA5 meets Fallout. What I experienced was an amazing adventure full of life even without a friend.

Be it unlocking a fridge and finding a holo recording from a guy talking about a stash he left behind and finding it based upon his description; to accessing a terminal and hearing some one talk about their life only to be able to explore said areas they spoke about. These aren't quests or missions, just some of the many examples of a living world. Truly most these complaints are unfounded in my experiences with the game. Heck maybe some parrot what others said, or just didn't explore enough.

Well worth the money, and time.

    Shrug.
