I’m more interested than anything in future content plans. I’m hoping early 2019 brings more details there.
I think they should focus on making what they have right now playable. Adding layers of content to an already highly unstable base game would do them little favor thinking about future survival.
They need to approach the game the same way Hello Games did if they really hope someone tobe playing this in mid 2019.
They will be able to charge for future content though.
Charging for bug fixes - would be a tough sell.
DLC's are going to be free.
Bethseda said that all content would be free for subscribers in ESO as well. And DLCs are! Expansions though are not.
Now I admit I could be wrong and Bethseda may never charge for future content but that's just not the way the world works.

I have played with my two sons and a friend without issue.
The game is also not shallow if you read terminal entries. I swear you remove NPCs and people can't seem to see other content in the game.

That stuff isn't much in the way of content. These things have been in Fallout for a while, they just weren't a huge deal because they weren't the primary means of delivering narrative. They were relegated (rightfully so, in my opinion) to added flavor content that enriched your adventures in the wasteland working with or against other NPC groups.
Fallout 76 traded the main narrative with multiplayer. I think many imagined their Fallout with Friends would be more akin to the way D:OS2 does co-op. It's nowhere near that; it's pretty bare bones and basic. They should do more with the multiplayer if they insist on sticking with the removal of any real NPC personalities.
Make the game possible to play in single-player. DONE.
I actually was gifted this game and managed to play around 10 hours this weekend. The dude who gifted me the game said he tried to offer it to many others but no one would accept it. Makes sense in hindsight.
This game is so shallow and devoid of content that you could easily pass it as a MOBA or CS. The way they deliver the so-called story, through reading terminals and such, is so out of touch with current HUMANS it's insane.
People these days have trouble reading more words than a single tweet - here Bethesda wants these people to read several logs to get that lore.
Quite frankly - this game is the worst Bethesda game ever to make it out of production. I continue to hope it bombs even more than right now to either stop Bethesda from thinking of releasing another online-only game like this or to sell the license of Fallout to someone more capable.

I haven't seen anyone act like that here.
That having been said, liking something doesn't mean that the glaring issues a product has just disappear either. Rose colored glasses and all that.

That's it exactly.
I started a new character in FO4 recently and the game has a shit ton of flavor content from terminals, notes, etc, IN ADDITION TO all the cool NPC dialogues and side quests you can get from them and quite often with them. That's the part that's missing in FO76.
There seems to be a common theme with those who seem to like this FO: a lot of them have never played one before so they see the flavor stuff and find that cool - it IS cool but FO4 just had so much more. The 23 max other players in your game just don't make up for what's missing.

People act like this is something new. Bethesda/Zenimax have never ever in the history of their existence released a game that was 'finished'. Not a single Morrowind OR Fallout game up to and including Skyrim was decent. Only after mod makers got their hands on it and finished it for them were any of these games really good. ESO was so bad I didnt buy it (and {because} I was one of the first waves of beta testers). I knew it wasnt fit to play and wouldnt be at release. Now its good. Some debate on things they have done about classes and balance and all that but every game has people who complain about class and PvP changes so...
Now will this one come around like ESO did? Not sure. This PR release is more than likely trying to fight the rumors that this is a one off money grab for them. As in they released this as an in between before Fall Out 5 comes out.
If people want to see the absolute best spin that can be offered I would suggest going and watching CohhCarnage VODs. While he goes out of his way to be 'critical' he is still a fanboy who overlooks every glaring issue the game has and he encounters. He basically coined the phrase now "it has issues but I am having a blast playing it". Which is what people can expect from a fanboy playing a 'broken' game from a company and an IP they white knight for. But you will see a 100% experience of the game. Bugs and all. You will also get the full commentary from him. Or you can mute it.
I have seen some interesting things I liked but a lot I didnt like. And in reality Fall Out 4 with the SIMs mod offers more than 76 does. The whole multiplayer thing is a gimmick at best as is right now. PvP system is a joke, grouping is what you would expect, high level players able to tow low level ones along. So really it is just what every other MMO/Co-Op game really is a single player game where other people run around with you. So really that aspect cant be criticized too much. But since it IS a fall out game being described as a multi player experience (and the first for the IP) it has to be noted.
But the most egregious thing is the price tag. Which is the irony of every game. There havent been many games worth their original price, and even on sale and after improvements many still arent worth the price. But if they do everything they claim add some free stuff and there is a 50% off sale sure then take a flyer. But 60 bucks now as is...nah.
Personally I've really been enjoying myself, yeah there are problems, there is no pretending there aren't, but the game has a great deal of potential to grow into a really good and solid online fallout experience.
I'm tempted to buy this game but I already have Destiny 2. I know they claim it is different, but it feels like Destiny to me when I watch videos.
It isn't anything like Destiny, FO76 is more about exploration, building, and surviving. I play both games and don't see much in common between them at all.

From what I have seen from streams and the like, it seems that this game was very rushed and seems like a cash grab. Now if this game got maybe a year or two more of work, it would be simply amazing. But alas, to me, it seems they spent more on the fancy new commercial that they got playing everywhere than they did on making this game.
Game has no soul, simple as that. Some people act like they own Bethesda shares... hmmm maybe they do
Or, maybe some people are able to play the game and actually see for themselves what the game does have to offer. Once again (and not directed pointedly at you), if you don't wish to play a game for whatever reason it is your right. What you cannot take away from anyone is their right to play the game and find out for themselves. FO76 is every bit as fun as any of the previous FO games, IN MY OPINION. Anyone saying otherwise will not change MY OPINION.
Are there any plans to fix the "Back End" security issues?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZM18ZK9mOY @ 6:30 roughly they talk about how a user can cheat the game due to no network encryption things like infinite health, and the worst part is people can spoof, and send packets to thers to kick people off the game, or geo-locate other users.
In the very leasy it seems like because of EU Laws the game would have some type of warning on the game that informs consumers about information that is shared among other users in the game?
Without encryption I wonder what worse is possibly able to be done to other users connected in the same game with others?

People don't seem to be comprehending that in the game, we are playing the first people released into the post-apocalyptic world, there are no NPC's other than robots and the occasional mutant who isn't hostile, because the world got blown up and it makes perfect sense as to why there isn't civilization yet. There will be updates to the game, DLC and expansions, and they will no doubt add NPC's, they've already said new vaults will open up. The lack of human NPC's is almost assuredly temporary.
People are going to look for any reason they can to pick the game apart, and if they don't like it that's obviously fine, but we don't really live in a time where the majority of people critiquing a game or any other media online are providing fair and balanced reviews, it's always one extreme or the other.
fallout 76 will always suck does not matter how much they patch it, it was always just a cash grab on an old engine and they are going to make Starfield and Elders scrolls 6 also on this old engine lets hope those games are not just as bad.
I switched to 3rd person mode to take a snapshot of my character. Then I noticed a sound symbol coming from my character. I usually never put my mic on mute as most games have a push to talk feature. So for about 3 hours I have been playing blazing away any conversation around me.
I wrote wall of text...but then sighed.
Its pointless to say anything, too late.
Kids (2011). We like to play Skyrim - bugs are so funny.
Bethesda (2018). We dont understand whats wrong with F76, we removed everything from the game (even the game itself) and left only what people liked - bugs.

You can have fun and like a game and still recognize its flaws. Im sure all of us have played a lot of games that the vast majority would call bad or mediocre. I know I did it a lot.
Even I that was very critic with this game squezeed almost all the time they gave in BETA. At the start its all new and shinny (even tough you soon realize that graphics are old, textures and sets are just those refurbished from FO4 and that it has serious performance issues aka same old game engine) and its actually a blast to be again in FO. For me that lasted about 1 hour and a half. I still kept going trying to find someting that would quench my bitternes. Sadly there was nothing to be found and just left.
QA testers had the same issue as many of us who have played the game. There is something missing. Something that is hard to grasp. Someone wrote that the game has no soul, it sounds lame but it feels somewhat true. Its not about the bugs. Its the game essence.
By the end of my playtime the game felt like a dull multiplayer online shooter rpg. You are running with a dozen quest active. You move to the designated areas. You kill the monsters to get X items/kills there. They respawn (sometimes by the time you kill a group of 5 the 1st one is already spawned). You get some loot. You level. Repeat.
But even then the game feels like it doesnt want to be a morpg. Loot is dull. Combat is dull. Leveling is dull. You level up but dont feel much stronger (I only made it to lvl 13 but when I started I 3 shooted monsters and by lvl 13 I still shooted the same monsters). Items had level caps (I got a missile launcher around lvl 5 and it was caped to lvl20). Crafting was edious (and without many options, half the menus appeared empty).
I dont think nothing they could do at this time will make the game great. As its, broken but lets ignore it, is just a lazy mediocre game. Thing is that if they give it a purpose. Focus on something. Be it loot fest, be it poweleveling scale, be it crafting paradise, be it bullet sponge fest, be it one shoot permadeath, they need to chose.
This game needs a soul. And I hope they have the courage to accept it and alienate a good portion of the player base to make something the rest can really call a good game.

I think these issues need to be fixed, at least some type of Network encryption should have been done and there is no reason why players are sending packets to one another in the first place...
