Even with the additional time the holidays often provide us, there are typically more games released than we could ever hope to play. My backlog is basically infinite at this point, so I tend to just focus on what’s ahead of me instead of trying to tackle all the stuff I bought but failed to play. And boy is it a good time for new games. Here’s what’s on my list.

FFXIV, RIFT, Secret World Legends are on my list lately. Was playing FFXIV solely until news about more Secret World content came out and I realized I had some catching up to do to finish the story. That and it's a nice game to play when you want to get away from people. It was around election time and I didn't want to see all the discussions in chat. The RIFT thing came out of nowhere as far as I can tell. I can't remember what caused it but I was feeling some nostalgia and have hopped back in on some new characters. But still enjoying FFXIV as well!

steam sale is pretty disappointing this year. None of the games on my wishlist is on sale :-(

I understand. After years away from SWToR, I suddenly decided to reactivate my account last week. Created a new Sith Sorc and having a blast.

I own..played Dragon Quest Xi,,i was sort of disappointed,very linear and really not very fun.I was on the fence b4 my purchase but figured,it is a storied franchise no way would they screw it up but nope the lack of effort shows,looks like a same old from 15 years ago.

Everybody has there favorites. I'm not going to knock what others enjoy. Lately I have been playing Lotro Classic and OverWatch. Seems like my time is getting more limited. Work has taken most of my time and family issues. Have fun with whatever you like and Happy Holidays.

Am I mistaken, or are none of those games an actual MMORPG? One or two are at least multiplayer, right?

Still mourning for City of Heroes, I've been playing Fortnite and Overwatch mostly just because I can get in and out without spending a lot of time. I noticed Blizzard seems to have given me Destiny 2 for free so I'm going to give that a try, just as I've tried so many other games, only to find none of them really stand out and nobody has ever asked me to join their team, so they might as well all be single-player games anyway. Final Fantasy XIV, Black Desert Online, Bless Online, Champions Online, Revelation, DCUO... all nice games, just nothing special.

Worlds Adrift is one game that has a unique feel, but you have to love exploration and crafting rather than missions and loot, and the pace is glacial compared to other games. Still, when I've got some time and want to relax, the PvE server is a great place to spend some hours.
