You can purchase RYL: Path of the Emperor for $29.99. You can either pick up the box version at a local gaming store, or purchase and download the game online: http://ryl.net/downloads.asp

The first month will be free gameplay, and after that, there is a monthly fee of $9.99.

You also can play for free by filling out a few online surveys per month.

So all you have to do to play this game for free is fill out a couple questions every month. If so is the free game any different? do they exclude anything?

First, you will need to purchase the game. The survey's do equal free game play. Nothing is excluded... it's the exact same game.
