It has been a while since we posted any cool updates on the game over here on mmorpg.com
A lot has changed since our gameplay video in July:
We re-built our character controller from the ground up, this allows us much more depth when adding animations, item and skill uses, and network connectivity.
Speaking of networking, we overhauled the networking side of things to ensure that the load and connections between player > server > player is quick, effective and able to handle 50+ people on in a zone on a map.
Our map and zones are also being worked on to allow more than just a battle royale experience at launch. We are looking to have many different game mode that players can have access to. We know not everyone is looking to a 1 vs. ??? but might enjoy smaller simpler modes such as 5v5, 10v10, guild vs. guild etc. and we are working to make sure our maps are modular and able to be put into smaller bite sizes to accommodate these smaller matches.
To go with the maps, we have added a bunch of new assets and environmental hazards that players will be able to interact with or use to their advantage. We want to give players the ability to use their surroundings when in engagements and not just rely 100% on their weapons (though if that is what you prefer, then pew-pew-pew away).
We have new animations for the models, something that fit the game play a bit more than the old one. We will have a video soon enough to showcase that, keep your eyes peeled.
