FFXIV, i find it a much better game. Community is so much more mature and friendly. I can finally tank end game content without being yelled at or getting kicked by a simple mistake.
Tho i'll return for allied races, cause i've put so much time in rep grinding and don't want to feel like i wasted time doing so.
Honestly that's not a good part of the "hardcore" community of FFXIV if you can't do your job you should be yelled at, everyone else is doing theirs. I like to think of FFXIV as the cuck community. "It's ok you'll do it next time" mentality. By all means if the entire group is learning something that's different but I have no patience for screw-ups when you run it so damn often nor should anyone for that matter. If you are in the top tier you should be held to a high degree of success and that just doesn't seem to be common here. PUG not included, we all know the hit and miss with that crap, if I PUG up I'm already in the mindset I'm going to have a miserable time.

Join a guild, but with that toxic mentality you will only fit in with other jerks.
Been doing alot of reading, playing other games, No mmorpgs though really as they all are generally generic wow clones these days. Currently into Edf 5 on ps4, really wish it was on pc though the frame rate is atrocious as the ps4 just can't handle all the stuff that can go on at once in that game.
Played ff14 a bit, got to level cap back before the first expansion then kinda just quit, as the combat I found was boring as hell, and to many classes felt the exact same. Very pretty game and some of the best music in a mmorpg hands down, but it went from something unique in 1.0 to generic wow cloned garbage in 2.0 and up.

I'm playing RDR2 and still dabbling with Odyssey after I finished the main story. I need to drop my obsession with Odyssey and get back into LoTRO but its just so damn good

Let me ask you, if you fail to do your job at work, does everyone pitty you and you go about your day or do you get fired?
It's no difference, you can call people jerks all you want, it's fuckin reality son.
Nothing toxic about it, your goals don't align, you don't want it bad enough. It's no different than any sports organization. Someone has to take the fall (RIP Cody Parkey). In a world where we don't hold anyone accountable is exactly why the world is going to shit fast.

This is why I choose single player games these days. I dislike being judged in-game (and often excluded from content) by someone who thinks they know what's best for everyone else. I realize some games are better in this regard, which is good.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.
mmos these days are pretty to look at but dull and boring as ever. too easy, too much hand holding, too unimaginative, too recycled, too solo centric. i'll play some survival multiplayers from time to time, but that's about it.

Fair point and I agree with that aspect, but you'd have no business in a top tier raid group so I can completely understand. I'm more talking about those that try to get in or want to get in but not put in the effort or focus that requires it and then the leaders continuously wanting to give them a shot even though they have proven they can't handle it. If that makes sense. There's guilds out there for everything, you just need to find one that fits your role and focus.

BDO, Eve Online and Path of Exile when i have the time, its not that i hate WoW, i just dislike the game it has become, if Blizzard is still around and Classic WoW returns then i will probably play it again, but with ActiBlizzs future now in doubt, who knows.
You really think classic is in danger of not releasing ?
Interesting question really, quite a bit of turmoil these days, not beyond the realm of possibility they could shift gears I suppose.
Then again, outside of the badly received Diablo mobile game how many other publically announced irons do they have in the fire?
I think they need to release Classic this year or they'll totally shred any remaining good will of their core WOW / PC customer base.
So many things have changed since the announcement was made that anything is possible, there is also the investigation currently in progress the outcome of which we can only speculate. I think personally Classic WoW is more important than any mobile effort Blizzard might engage in, though the way things are going i would hazard that Blizzard is going to have a tough job retaining talent, as there are too many things that can still go wrong, in addition to the things that already are.

Years of downward spiral in MMOs has well acclimated me to playing inferior games so I spend most my time on Fallout 76 atm.
This weekend however the Phoenix rose, so I'm back in one of the lands I love most, Midgard.
Forgot that was this weekend... Decided to explore the one realm I had almost no experience in and rolled a Runemaster. Hits like a truck, slows and snares and speed, oh my! Enjoying this, a caster from Midgard... Huh, who woulda thought?

I have no problem with top tier raiding being demanding, and yes everyone must do their job.
It has been my experience that high performance mentality filtered downward in many games so even DF Pugs had people screaming at me or kicking when I stated ahead I didn't know the fight.
Probably more of an issue with DF design not allowing for players to self identify their skill level and matching more appropriately.
Its basically why I gave up PUG running dungeons about the time SWTOR launched. I only will do it with friends who understand some of my deficiencies (such as being totally lost in dungeons) and yet still let me come with, assuming the game mechanics support such.

ESO as main MMO but taking a bit of a break for some games I picked up during Steam sale. GW2 but just to log in for daily reward, ffxiv sometimes (I'll get back to that later).
I just started playing through the Danganronpa series and VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, both which I enjoy. It's funny because I'm not a huge VN fan, but I like a few, as long as they aren't dating sims.
I have a GTX 1070, VR, GTA V, ESO, FF XIV, played Red Dead and so on... I still play WoW more than any other game!
I am sorry for you...wow must have popped your mmo cherry, maybe get out in the mmo world as wow is a pile of shit nothing more than a cash cow and its been that way for many years.
