LIMIT factions changes to Alliance

Not sure if this was posted here already but LIMIT, one of the top raid progression guilds in the world faction changed from Horde to Alliance, presumably for access to 2 or (possibly) 3 pieces of 400ilvl gear that the Alliance has access to currently based on Warfronts and the Alliance having a smaller population playing Warmode and therefor the Alliance receive a 30% buff to resource gain.

They spent $0 real money themselves and the faction change was funded by selling mythic clears (10-15 million gold to have blizzard credit to purchase the faction change).

This move appears to be temporary, evidenced by the name they chose to rename the guild to:  "this game is bad".  Yep, that's right.

My own opinion is that the faction change to take advantage of yet another game decision mistake by ActiBlizz is funny.  The name of the new guild is really funny (true btw imo).  Lastly, someone likely paid real money for the gold via game time token purchases, so in effect, ActiBlizz made money of this which is really, really sad.

This is why: Not only will they have a 1-day advantage (NA reset is Tuesday, EU is Wednesday), but they have the opportunity for 3 400+ iLevel items before starting Mythic next week.

This is going to make for a really fun world first race. Limit faction transferred To alliance, so they're going to be starting with 3 pieces of free 400+ gear and half a day early compared EU Horde(Method) when Mythic goes live. This also means that Limit can do split runs with a greater chance of funneling loot to mains this week because all of their alts start with at least 2 pieces of 400 gear.

I guess Blizz is stacking the deck for a NA Alliance guild to win a "world first" since EU Horde guilds have been dominating for a long while recently even starting a day later! :D

Honestly, if Limit loses...they're losers. :D

Yep, that's how it works. Person A purchases a token for $20 and places it on the Auction House. Person B buys it for 117,500 gold (current NA price). So Blizzard gets a win-win for their "MAU" (Monthly Active User) numbers because Person A is a subscriber spending money on both their own subscription and to purchase a token that effectively covers Person B's sub too PLUS an additional $5.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
