    Sorry to hear that, but 8 years shows how good it was and as you say you are not hanging your flight wings up just yet.

    True! the other 49 games I play do soften the impact a bit :) Although it's a shame MMORPG games have to die, and there's no way to preserve them

    It's sad when a beloved MMO closes its doors. Looks like you had a great run and have some games to fill the void.

    PS: I really had no clue this games even existed...

    Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    There is also Vendetta Online, which even has a ship that looks very much like a Viper (coincidentally also the name of the guild I'm in which comes in part from Battlestar: Galactica):
