Unless I can see your exact posts or post history I think I'll take a "hmmm hmmmmmm" stance.
This is not to say there aren't some extremely unprofessional people in the game development world. But over the years, whenever someone has posted a "I got banned for just being honest, I got banned for telling the truth, I got banned for reporting x, y and z" post, I'd look at their post(s) and see the rest of the story and realize "sure, of course they got banned.
Still, taking your complaint at face value, I'm sure that you can contact customer service and they will see that you were just adding some information.

you were pretty snarky, and I imagine the snarkyness combined with you double posting in your report instead of editing the response (mind you I'm not familiar with ark forums so I'm only assuming they have an edit post feature) is why they banned you for spam.

@gem: ok gem, thank you for being the rule and not the exception.

My guess is and this is like I said a guess. Posting bugs elsewhere than a bug area/report.
[[ DEAD ]] - Funny - I deleted my account on the site using the cancel account button. Forum user is separate and still exists with no way of deleting it. Delete it admins. Do it, this ends now.
I don't think 3 single line posts over a 12 hr. period count as spam. I'd argue the second post is actually clarifying the first post - offering additional information. The third post is where it gets gratuitous - mods seem a little thin skinned over there.
Given the way ARK has been going I'm not sure banning frustrated players from the forums is the route to take unless this player has an established history of this sort of behavior.
I think "tell me this wasn't done on purpose" and "that would be like caring if the game worked correctly" would push moderator buttons.
If this was indicative of Gem's post history then it's sort of a no-brainer.

Sorry, to specify the third post is in another player's thread on asking other players if they were having problems with transferring characters. All speculation of course on why the ban is, mods could have also looked at the post in the other player's thread as hijacking their report and counted it as spam. Also going through their post history (on the ark forums, not here) the rest of their posts are fairly along the same lines as the ones i posted in the imgur.
I am going to say, it was a bit of the mod being a jerk and the poster being a jerk. No one is really sinless in that little fiasco.

I certainly maintain the right of any game forum to ban as they see fit. I've often wondered why obviously destructive members of the community weren't banned.
A time out may be appropriate, a permanent ban would seem over the top.
Frankly, if I owned a game I don't even know if I'd have official forums.
For my taste, I like the idea of a time out except for very extreme circumstances.

I can only imagine how many months I'd be banned for if being a snarky jerk was a punishable offense here.
I am not sure if I would last a day...

I assumed MMORPG was the meeting place for everyone banned from official game forums.
MMORPG feels more like a place for people who do have active forum accounts on other games, and we come here to vent.. just so we can KEEP our game forums accounts from being banned.

I dont know about ARK but if they do the same shit they do with the steam forums for Atlas basically ignore it and have no presence there what so ever even though thats the bloody place you buy, download and log into the game then spam them more on their "golden forums".
My ban was lifted but I don't feel safe from posting on Ark's main forums anymore. The moderator is a nut case. Looking for places where we can talk openly about Ark Survival and what the devs are doing without worrying about a ban or reprisal from the forum moderator.
Steam isn't safe they look at you there. Reddit isn't safe they attack you on the main forum for anything you say on Reddit as well.
Gamefaqs has their own personal asshat moderator tho they used to be the best place to post long ago.
VideoGameGeek seems okay so far but I haven't used them much.
You should be able to sue for free speech infringement! Kidding... but if the 3 posts were really all there was, they are definitely over the top snarkiness or no, especially with SPAM being the excuse. The MOD is a dick who should lose his job.

It also could be the dodos. You can't trust them. That's why in real life we got rid of the dodo.
EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
sharing exploits.
and you wonder why you got banned? cool story
and no, i don't play ark. but logic is logic. don't. share. exploits/glitches.
what did you think would happen? that they'd "fix the glitch faster bc you make more people use it"?
cute. wanna buy a monkey?
