I mean, or you could not. Not everyone wants to play Warframe. The game being popular last year does not make the game any better / worse. If we went purely by numbers Fortnite is the best game ever created. If you want to tell someone to try a different game, explain the reasons the GAME is better. Personally I don't really see them as the same kind of game at all and they scratch very different itches thematically, progression wise, and gameplay wise.
There are also games that have been using the same engine for years that have massive improvements. You likely don't understand much about how game engines work if you think that the same engine somehow means they can't improve it graphically / mechanically. I mean, technically Skyrim still uses the same engine as Morrowind. Even just by the trailers I can see a pretty huge difference in texture and lightning quality.
Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3 used Gamebryo, Skyrim and later games uses the inhouse Creation Engine. In Oblivion and Fallout they completly remade every model and probably nothing was used from Morrowind. It can't really be compared to what's going on in Div2. Sure some other games have done something similar like Destiny and Black ops 3-4. But it dosen't really make it ok, and there are doubts if Destiny will be continued now.

Are you mad there are no doubts if Destiny will continue. Rumor has it that Destiny 3 will be out next year now. What state that will be in who knows? I doubt its going to be AAA graphics but if the game is good who cares.
I really doubt it, currently next gen consoles are beeing pushed from Sony, PS5 will probably be out by Xmas, and then they would have to adapt Destiny 3 to a modern console, and that takes more time and money. Fortnite is probably making more money in a week than Destiny 2 has made since launch. The investors are probably looking at that and saying they want in.
Destiny2's Marketing, PR, social media guys were all let go like a week ago.
Black ops 4 made $500m but just a few months later now the game is dead inside. What does that mean for the series long time? Will players still jump on the next game when they saw how quickly BO4 died?
I'm looking forward to this game, if they fix the crashes. I have a 2080ti, 8700k and I'm running in 4k. But, I crashed every 5 to 7 minutes. I'll try open beta and hope for the best.

Where are you getting that they let go of their social media, marketing and PR team? Last I checked, and I checked today, they've just released a ton of information about new content on destiny 2.
I think the argument that using the same engine is bad is just ridiculous. Tons of sequels use the same engine... and also, if you haven't noticed, there are a lot of engines that are used across a wide swath of games. UE4 for example, it doesn't mean that every single game created with it is the same. Meanwhile some games created with it are the same, such as the batman arkham games.
Also, hopefully they fixed the hacking. The hacking in Division 1 was so bad. It was crazy.
for TD2 they are using the same anti-cheat system that Fortnite uses. Not sure how good that one is, because I played both TD1 and Fortnite on consoles, where cheating is very rare.
I really enjoyed the first one and I'm looking forward to playing TD2. Ubisoft is one of the few companies that has not let me down over the years.

Few games of theirs have caught my attention. Not that they were bad, I just never really liked the assassins creed, tom clancy games, or far cry series. I've purchased a smattering of each of them over the years... but for whatever reason The Division always resonated with me more.
The first one made me lose focus and I didn't stick around through all the changes but... the second one is hitting all the right notes for me. I'm super excited.

I'm really into the Tom Clancy series, the rest really don't interest me much, that and the first Watch Dogs after they patched it up.
