saw it the whole way. Quick cash grab, shut down servers =?> Profit .

The more likely alternative: they ran out of money: servers cost money, devs gotta eat, utility bills etc. etc.

Man it looked good and i was excited. Did it ever release though? I thought it was still in early access thats why i never really got a chance at it. They kept saying it would be Free to PLay but to get EA you had to pay.

Regardless, it's a good reason for me to shun GaaS games including MMOs. I'm not supporting the idea that games I paid for can be taken away on a whim for whatever "reasons". These can't fail fast and often enough, for me.
Does that mean that you're against online gaming entirely, or at least games with centralized servers as opposed to allowing random people to host a match?  If so, why are you on this site?

We rail against GaaS but this is just like the way we used to rail against cash shops. Will GaaS become as ubiquitous? Well in a way they already are, club stores and cash shops are just versions of GaaS. It is going to be just like what happened with cash shops, there is going to be a sliding scale of how bad the GaaS is. People like ourselves will base purchases on which are the least bad. As time goes on and they all get worse we will have the choice of leaving gaming or playing bad "GaaS".
