How to get a "Digital Download" for SWG...

Thanks go to Phoenixs for trying this and verifying that it works:

1. Go to Fileplanet and download the closed free trial. (You will get the game but not the CD Key)
2. Go to DLGamer and buy the Serial SWG Integral CD Key for 29.90 Euro. (For US folks since they take credit cards the CC company will do the conversion for ya, so don't sweat it).

Then install the game and register with your purchased Key.

NOTE: If you are a returning player who got rid of their CD's you can use the TTE CD Key as an 'expansion pack' to add it to your old account! You do not need to open a NEW account with the Key if you already have one. Just register TTE as an expansion and it'll add JTL and ROTW to your current account. I believe this also re-activates the account for the 30 day trial period if your old account isn't already active. Not sure on that though. Hopefully someone can verify.

not really, i only buy stuff from people who have alot of positive ratings, so theres no risk of being cheated. Plus Ebay does have an insurance in case you get ripped off.
Positive thing bout ebay is that you can buy cd-keys for $10-15

I didn't get a chance to post this in the other thread, but you can also purchase the serial at www.gamersloot.net and its a bit cheaper. However with DLgamer it appears you get the serial code quicker. I am making the assumption as they arent based in one city and they don't have hours posted.

I was wondering if i downloaded the jump to light speed expansion from fileplanet, would i be able to play it if i also bought the cd-key from ebay or another online store?

As i sold my old account after i quit, i was looking to try out SWG again just to see how it was, just bouth a SWG + JTLS new cd-keys from ebay for $10 and will start playing tonight i hope, do you guys recommend any servers, or is it just bria that has any kind of movement these days?

I think you will be surprised at the amount of activity on almost ALL the servers (I think every server is at least heavy at peak times - depending if you are on west, east coast server, european or japanese). Often up to extremely heavy.

Many of the forum users here have at least one toon on Naritus and you are welcome to join us there (Novarider and Delos are my toons there).

You will find that the majority of servers at any given time are light with some very light.

Bria is usually very heavy followed by about 4 heavy servers. Its pretty well much that way at any time of the day.

Guys PM the board admins to make this sticky so we can stop bumping it. A lot of people are asking how to get the game digitally and, as far as I know, this is the only way currently.

Sorry for the bump, but i was wondering, i wanted to buy the serial from dlgamer and then activate my account by downloading the 10 day trial from fileplanet. However, how do i get the expansions that way? It seems u can't download them anywhere, and i dont think u can simply upgrade to them. Is there a way to get the expansions or should i just buy the game with box and all. Thnx !
