Eternal Magic MMORPG Announced & Headed for Closed Beta on July 17th - MMORPG.com News

Players looking for a new MMORPG home may want to check out the forthcoming Eternal Magic. The game is headed for closed beta testing starting July 17th. Eternal Magic features "a flexible character class system, dynamic combat, and massive PvP battles for up to 80 players. Secondary features include "MOBA mode, private mansion parties, in-game weddings and guild wars".

The Chinese market is nuts when it comes to P2W in their games. Rotating new servers with leaderboards on each server makes the whales hop servers every new opening, some games open new servers every week, and the games have such P2W that they will spend thousands a week just to try to be #1 on each server. I think the last time I booted up an MMO with servers based in China it had something like 350 servers on the list.

Now, I'm not sure if any Chinese games have done that in the global launches though (excluding R2 games because the owner of that company bragged about how P2W the games were), so while this looks dated, it might still be released without insane P2W.

STAY AWAY, unless you have 100s of $ to waste every month.
A friend is playing League of Angles and she is spending 1-2k $ per month on this game. Just to stay somewhat competitive, near top 1k on leaderboards.

The entire MMO community needs to stop marketing/discussing/hyping/promoting these games. There is nothing to see here in this p2w re-skin chinese poopfest. Every dollar that this promotion generates for a chinese p2w company is a slap in the face to the entire MMO community. Stop being driven by short term gains bought by spam posting as much "content" as you can find. Real gains will come from a thriving mmo community, something that will only happen once this p2w market goes away.

Bill - you should go back and check your analytics and see when the downward spiral started happening. Since then, this site has attempted to make up for it by increasing its coverage of off-topics and p2w games. Its a self-fulfilling prophecy that needs to be broken.

Pardon me, Age of Wushu should never be mentioned with the likes of revolution and this.
