They have recently added a SINGLE player mode for all those that found it frustrating to setup your own server. It is not a perfect answer but then i keep looking at all the support Minecraft has received over the many years and costs more to buy than Atlas.

First of all you can buy Atlas for i think is $11 ,Minecraft last i looked was i think 25-30?I would not put Minecraft anywhere near Atlas in terms of quality,so at least to me the value is solid for Atlas,is it where i would like to see it,heck no not even close but when i look at compared value and realistic graphics,i am happy.

Anyhow this new single player mode, has quite a few settings for you to mess with,be careful some small changes have a huge impact while others need bigger inputs. There are still many settings i would like to see missing but hey it is a start, how many games/devs go this far in giving you free servers and no cash shops.

They have continued to add small bits of content, hey better than nothing as i suspect a very small team.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Just another cut and paste from Wildcard (or one of the 12 other sister companies they have).  Just another survival game using the UE4 to mimic an MMORPG, but it is still just another survival game.  Does not matter if the single player mode is there, still running the 'server' on your local machine.

They've lost 80% of their players between January and June.

If they introduced cash shop on top of that they'd just lose the rest too.

As for Atlas being cheaper then Minecraft, that's because Atlas is at the moment two thirds off.

A huge loss of players coupled with more than 50% discount during early access are usually sings that the game is doing badly and devs are cashing in a bit more before they move all resources to their next project.
