Makes you wonder how much of an impact FFXIV has had on what remained of the WoW playerbase, i think this is just a half arsed attempt to try and get players back, no doubt there are issues with queues for content, after all what use is LFR or LFD if there are not enough players who use it. BfA was an utter failure, its kind of sad that Blizzard don't understand why it failed.
Yeah BfA was a big hit and miss. It has a lot of great ideas, but literally not a single one executed in a good way. My only hope is that all the story leads to a good expansion as I suggested many months ago right after BfA launched and more precisely that the next expansion might not have horde and alliance. At this point it's illogical to continue to have them and counter-productive considering they never really managed to balance the races. Only having some new alliances where horde and alliance races are together would make sense and possibly develop into a good story.
That said there is still the issue that Blizzard is pushing for grind content instead of quality. They are trying to keep their players in the game by forcing them to grind and that's so bad especially nowadays where people have less and less time to play games. I have friends who stopped playing the game because they said that they just simple don't have the time to grind... They have the time to raid, do PvP and dungeons, but not to grinds xhours a day to get the highest possible AP and best possible gear and we all know that unless you are in a solid guild your only option to get into a good RBG group or get invited to a high Mythic + at all is to have the best of the best.
maybe ill try when they make Buy to Play or Free to Play, not gonna play a monthly fee subscription with a cash shop, that is a huge middle finger for every paying player...
You are going to be waiting a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. Probably forever. Good luck with that! It is okay to just say you don't intend on playing it because it has a subscription without implying that the game is falling so hard that in the future they will be forced to move to a different payment model.

True enough, although WoW is not without issues, the subscription model is not one of them.
In general to many MMO out there and fit what people wants, and needs. People just have little time to play them all, and just to grind up all the gear with out getting bored doing so.
