Umm.... I'm talking about MMOGs not RL "f000". I didn't ask if you despised people who play white or black skinned characters. I'm talking about those half-tiger characters and such, and if anyone else finds them kind of stupid.
i dun really mind them, personally i like seeing talking dragon, and human sized walking lizards weilding longbows, some are better than others though, example: have a walking man sized lizard toger that lives in the ocena is really dumb, but like lizard men are more acceptable.
so in a way i dispise some of them, but i support other ones. i'm a 50/50 in this matter

Geez how did you read that out of the post. U on a little trip or something. I would suggest you think before you post in future.
its becuz the makes of them run out of ideas like Centaurs,Iksars that stuff I wanna see golems as races and things with more then 2 legs make something up thats not half a damn human
I usually play a human as well. It just seems more realistic, even if it is a fantasy world. I really like what Adellion is doing, they'll have only one race, humans, but have many different cultures.
I don't mind these kinda half animal races. In fact, unless there's something preventing me from them in a game, I usually pick 'em. 'Course, that's just me...
Humans only? "It just seems more realistic, even if it is a fantasy world." I agree with anti-ssm on that one. As far as variety goes, humanity on earth is pretty varied don't you think, and we don't have any human-tiger hybrids running around.
The only reason these ridiculous races are in the games is because theres no character individuality for 100000 players choosing between 10 classes. Therefore they throw a bunch of casings at you to try and disguise the fact that their game design blows and that you have the exact same character as 20000 other players. UO only had one race, human, but the free skill system instead of classes was so lenient that character individuality was far greater than any other MMORPG.

It is not all half man races I dislike but what EQ is doing with frogs, and rats and tigers and lizards is just stupid IMO.
Have a race or two like a mino or a cent, but having a long line of them like in EQ and EQ2 just annoys me.
Death Is Only The First Phase Of My Wrath...

"Doesn't anyone in this town wear pants?"
In my opinion you cant have a fantasy setting without the Main Three which are Human, Elf and Dwarf.
I agree though that some of the other races you find in say EQ are ridiculous.

i think it works well to have a variety of races
