Why do beautiful women insist on ruining themselves with plastic surgery
Its about being comfortable in ones own skin. I think most women believe it or not would tell you "they" feel better with said surgery and do it for themselves to have more confidence ect ect ect... Listen iv been doing the same hairdo forever, I crop it really close, my wife always wants to me to grow it longer and even women i dated before I was married always wanted me to do the same. But the reality is i feel like a Giant douchebag with any other hairdo than that what I am use to do. It makes me feel good even though the opposite sex seems to think id be more handsome with some kind of douchey Pompadour

I think as humans we need to feel comfortable in our skin and if for women that involves blowing out your lips or your ass cheeks, or sucking your face back like it was wind tunnel tested then i get that. tbh I kind of like the Boob jobs  B)

Or you could ignore anything "preachy" and just play the game.

There have been a lot of artists, composers, writers over the looong years who have been vocal on their views and as I've told a great many people, if you ignored all the people you don't like you probably wouldn't be listening, watching, experiencing anything.

All kidding aside, does anyone really look at online gaming like she does, or at least the way she spoke about it? I'm old as fuck so I don't know how the under 40 pop sees it. I see it as a way to kill a few hours doing something I enjoy, not to empower my inner psyche or whatever. Does anyone really look at their character/toon and say "Oh man/girl/zer my Warlock is tossing those those Fireballs like a pro! I'm going to be president when I grow up for sure!"?

Also I'm almost positive that what she is describing from 1:11to 1:20 was the plot for that horrible 80's TV movie about D&D "Mazes and Monsters" so I'm not positive that would be the route to take when describing your game.

I'll be honest here, I always find it pretty desperate when game companies use an actor to market their own games, even if the actor had no interest with it to begin with. Most of the time the stuff they say (or just the content of the trailer as a whole) don't even match to what the game really has to offer. Remember the Game of War ads, with Kate Upton being the front and center of them all? Those were literally made just to attract a lot of horny dudes for a game that's literally just a generic mobile empire building game designed to steal your money.

Anyways, the only thing I have to give credit for to BDO is it's extensive character creation. Everything else though? Makes me want to go back playing FF14 and WoW.

Do a little research on the people whose work you do like. Or bands or show creators. You will find a whole host of things that you find distasteful and you are putting money in their pockets.

And eventually, those people will have a forum and will give you a piece of their mind.

Heck, you might be "boycotting" someone/some organization who espouses save the seas and yet you might be supporting neo nazis or cultists and you don't even know it.

Imagine if your employer found out who you were in relation to your forum name and saw some things you posted and thought "we can't have someone like this in our company." You might be a great worker, team player, forward thinker and yet they don't want to put money in your pockets because of the things you say.

We all have our preferences, opinions, politics, thoughts and it's going to be criticized by "someone."

And like I said above, there are "special people" who love to speak about their beliefs and shove them down people's throats along with the "special people" who are just looking to tell those people to "f' off." It's like they are looking for a fight. They're no better. Same people from my experience.

Thank god for that. I like looking at megan fox as much as the next guy but she was a god awful actress... one of the worst
She's fine in things she can handle. Just like Keanu Reeves. I don't think he's an all around great actor. I DO think he's a great actor in certain parts. Same with Miss Fox. Fine in the first Transformers movie, fine in Jennifer's Body. She doesn't have much of a range.

Also, per the earlier post, I'm not a fan of people calling her out on her "thumbs" simply because they aren't striking. I have a cousin with the same stubby thumbs and she's gorgeous. I'd rather have toe thumbs than a toe face and certainly a toe personality.

Which of course she may or may not have, who knows. B)

these sexist and harrassing comments should be removed and bans implemented. What a disgusting display of male chauvinism .

You don't find it equally as insulting that a studio considers the majority of its playerbase to be this shallow and lonely?

If not for "sex sells", then what is your opinion as to why they chose Megan Fox?

Would we still be "sexist" if we preferred Mila Kunis, you know, an actual gamer?

What exactly was the message Megan Fox was selling, anyways?

Instead of shutting down every peaceful means to share thoughts and ideas, perhaps join the conversation and share your own. Unless of course, your ideas cannot withstand criticism. Then I understand your call for censorship.

Watched the video. I also read the comments. Oh boy...

Look, I don't care about Megan Fox's endorsement (She's beautiful we get it) or any other pretty face tbh, BDO sucks. Its trash to me. There is no celeb they can get to make me touch that game ever again. BDO also may be reaching/corny with signal boosting the way  they did but it doesn't mean the messaging is wrong. It's not wrong and the comments in this thread prove it. Everything she said is true.

If you actually watch the video nothing she said is objectively wrong. She is speaking about her gender. Nothing wrong with it, that's her experience and reasoning. I think the knee jerk, sexist reaction coming from the viagra crowd is insanely stupid. A pretty girl gives her opinion of a game and look what happened. It's not just here it's all across the internet people (men) are disrespecting this lady because she simply gave her fucking opinion. This happens to women in the gaming space often..so this is what she is talking about. SMH. Peak group think.

I'm honestly not even surprised by the reaction considering most of the people here are balding aging male boomers that take viagra daily, hoping for the next DAOC to come out so you can relive your "glory days" of staying in your parents' basement pulling mmo all-nighters over Dial-up internet. It's a run-on purposely.

Most of you take anything that doesn't directly reflect what you are or what you believe as a personal attack on your beliefs.

It's hilarious to watch. Sad too.. but mostly hilarious. You know some things you can just ignore right? If you like BDO before this, nothing should change. Myself, I wouldn't touch this shit ever but that's me.

I notice that yall tend to accept these types of things from women who you don't deem as attractive. I wonder what the psychology behind this is.

When we start blocking each other you defeat the reason we are here, to listen to what the other guy has to say. Now you may not like what he says, well that's life actually get used to it. Point out where he is wrong, if you are right reason should be on your side. That does not mean you cannot have enough of it and just leave them to it, but blocking just puts you in a bubble, the bubble of the "nice" people you want to hear.

I'll throw a curve ball on this conversation and say that I like when they do marketing pieces with mainstream celebrities. Ahm, sure, they should invest more money on the game and less on the marketing. Maybe she doesn't know about the game... But I think that, as someone who grew up in an environment where "gaming" (as many other activities) was seen as something very anti social and alien, it's good when there is this kind of interchange between social groups. I dig that. It sheds a light on the hobby.

I'm pretty sure Ozzy Osbourne doesn't know much about WoW... nobody shat on him when he did a promo for the game. :shrugs:

And as much metal WoW is... BDO is kinda aimed to mainstream gamers in comparison so I think the choice kinda fits.

I think people should scorn less things like this. They are narrow minded to how much good it does to gaming community when it interchanges with mainstream entertainment groups/elements/trends/etc.

And... it won't make your game or yourself less GamerTM or hardcore because of this... so chill.
Yeah, but Ozzy Osbourne is Ozzy freaking Osbourne, besides, he probably has a level 60 Warlock in WoW, i can totally picture him as one  :p

I'd disagree.   Personally blocking can be an invaluable tool.   Heavy moderation on the other hand of one side defeats the purpose.  But taking a stance by simply blocking individuals making petty comments that one may deem sexist, such as simple "washed up hoe" above or arguments over her beauty or worth...I mean that seems perfectly fine.

Forums are tiring, especially whenever you have a female as a point of topic and the conversation breaks down to white knights, sjw spills, and then however one may personally feel women ruin themselves.   Or why we wouldn't bang Megan Fox cause she has toe thumbs....

Personally the anonymity of forums is never conducive resolving any argument.  And whenever an online discussion breaks down to if some popular woman is bangable...lol.   C'mon now with your "reason we are here"....  lol.

If I'm among friends or good company in real life we can have that discussion all day long.  We can talk about who is a hoe in our social circles or who I'd bang or wouldn't.   But online with a bunch of nobodies whose opinion doesn't matter one iota in our day to day to lives.... block that sob and move on.

I mean I loved Dave Chappelles new Stick and Stones special....but I'm not going to debate the haters, or why it gets 0% on rotten tomatoes from the critics.  I don't know what that has to do with anything, but if your still reading you should watch it you dumb mf'ers.

I can see where you are coming from, but to me it just seems overdone. For one thing are you sure that a guy who posts about "washed up hoes" is never going to have anything worth while to say? Sure I was not exactly waiting for his next inciteful comment, but to shut people down for sometimes being an idiot just seems excessive.

And I am sure many would see the post that had a picture of a model line up as sexist, but to me it spoke about how companies can use women to sell, use causes to sell and the women in turn get publicity for it and players are in turn fools for lapping that up.

Also I would tend to skip over the posts of someone I know brings little to the forums, so you might think of that as self censoring the guy. But I always give them the chance to come up with something interesting to say, if not this year maybe the next. :)
