I'm honestly very disappointed. Just another way for SE to double dip. You pay 20$ for better graphics (questionable in some areas), that's it.

They need to do this for FFXIV, would be a smash.

I wouldn't suggest anyone to buy this if they already have the original port. It's tiny bit improved in graphics and that's pretty much it.

    Tactics. FFS Tactics.

    Just do it Squeenix!

I never cared for the character asthetics of 8. Couldn't get past how little I liked Squall to get very far in the game.

I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

    This game in a nutshell:

99% of the fights drawing magic.

Also can't forget the story absurdness in the end. They go to fucking space LMAO.

Not the first FF to do that, fyi
Not sure which other FF you're talking about.

I remember in FF9 you should steal from every boss fight as they had some very good items that can be found earlier but I don't remember spending the majority of the fights drawing magic from every enemy to get 99 stacks of every type of magic for EACH character in your team.

I've played from 7 till 14. Currently doing 13-2 and will do Lightning Returns then FF15.

The previous ones deals with moon people and space monsters, fyi. The ones you didn't play.
Ah, my bad. I thought you were talking about the part where I said 99% of the fights are composed of you drawing magic.

Are they as ridiculous as the one in FF8 the space part? It made me laugh out loud for how bad it was.

I have honestly never played a Final Fantasy game but 14 and 9. Plan on playing 7 with the remake. Might give this a shot
This is my opinion, but the game starts Great / Interesting (Disc 1 and some of Disc 2) then it goes downhill from there.

I like VIII a lot, might give this a shot. Don't really see a point other than the updated graphics as I still own my original PS1 discs.

20 bucks for a extremely deep 20-40+hour game with a facelift for every character in the game and a extremely well done original soundtrack that is leaps and bounds over what they remastered in 7 and 9, seriously play this with headphones they did a great job putting different instruments on different ears and scaling sound across in stero. Not sure why it hasn't been noticed but maybe it because I played 7+9 right before I played this with headphones and the sound here is brilliant, obvious whoever was working with the score had passion for nobu. it could have been better, but it is a inexpensive way to play a classic game with a much better fidelity and unlike 7+9 it stays much closer to its roots and doesn't feel like a iOS port. O wish the used ai to redu the pre rendered backrounds and it's a given a fan will in the coming weeks but those of us playing on console it's hurts, I will say the ratio upscaling is perfect and the backgrounds although blurry do look allot better the the 256 coler images of 7+9 but I can only imagine sqenix did not enhance the backgrounds because they know next gen will be back compat and they need a way to sell this to us again in five years. But all in all it's a classic for a affordable price even with the short commings

12 plays more like a mmorpg than a ff game so I'd play that if anything. As for its story....eh....

Give 6 a go. Friendly advice.
I own 35+ FF titles and approve of this. FFVIII is an odd one, some love it, some hate it. And while the plot is bonkers it has excellent music and great characters. It isn’t my favourite FF by far but I do have a soft spot for it and have spend more time with it then I have with FF titles of higher quality.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

I could never get past the draw system. Put maybe 8-9 hours into it, didn't like the main characters but really hated spending so much time drawing magic out of the enemies.

My fave FF game, going to wait until the mod community releases a Remako mod for the backgrounds though.

If you are a fan of FF7, check out Remako!

Of all the FF titles, FF8 is the only one I didn't finish. I was on disc 4 (yes, CD no DVD back then) I couldn't stand the boredom of the game. I doze off all the time, the game sucks.
I like the opening song, Eyes on me and triple triad though.

    Basically, 8, 10, 13 and 15 weren't exactly Final Fantasy game.

Yeah, I like Seifer much better. Perhaps he should get a game of sorts?
Zell for me, tough I have a bias for people who fight with their legs.

Seems a bit of a lazy remaster tbh, i already have FF VIII on PC anyway, if there was genuine improvement then maybe? but it also sounds like some of the graphics in the remastered version are not as good as in the original, Siren etc. if you don't already have VIII then maybe, but if you already have the game then there doesn't seem to be any real reason to buy the remastered.  :/

Bought the game and booted it up. I couldn't get either the controller or KB+mouse to function properly at all. Refunded.
