WHICH MMO IS CLOSEST TO THIS?

I DID ALOT OF RESEARCH ON THE FORUMS (YES I DO RESEARCH ON GAMESimage) BUT I CANT FIND THE RIGHT GAME.

I am just looking for a game with:

-AWESOME PvP I DONT CARE IF ITS USELESS LIKE WOW!! Just better. It needs open PvP and closed PvP like arenas.

-Guild or team related. Like GvG

-NO STRATEGIZING!!!!! Like the whole talent thingy frum wow and attributes from other games is ok. But nothing like  GW. OMG I spent more ttime going on forums doign research than actually playing the game. PLUS i hate thinking at school why would i wanna do this for a game?

-Grind is ok but not toooo much grind. FOr XP and GOLD.

Thats about it. image

so basically you want a game which is high in pvp and arenas which also has a GvG feature BUT you don't want it to need strategy? That just doesn't exist as all games take a level of strategy and to be honest, i doubt anyone else can help you find that but the games out at the moment which people rate highly in regard to pvp content are:

    Dark Age of Camelot
    Lineage 2
    Eve
    Shadowbane
    World of Warcraft
    Guild Wars

I have probably missed one but those are the main pvp games out. The only ones i can truly comment on are the ones you have already played WoW and GW. GW i admit was pretty crap and needs some open ended battles but why don't you enjoy WoW? You have the gurubashi arena and this place can also sort of be used for GvG matches and i have seen it happend.

I dont mind strategizing. I just mind if i do more research than playing.

I am really looking for skill based. Like Gunz Online . Except in a bigger mmo version.

    Quake 3
    Battlefield 2
    UT 2004
    CounterStrike:Source

Those are the brain dead games you are looking for, not a MMORPG.

you could try Shot Online! people compete all the time and it's your skill that gets the ball in the hole!! ::::31::::::31::::::31::::::31::

hehehe, but yea, you could try Eve if you want mindless mining with pvp later on. Dark Age of Camelot takes very little strategy as to character building, rarely are there 4 or more skills to choose from, and most characters are cookie cut stat wise.

Shadowbane doesnt have a long grind by no means. Doesnt take forever to figure out how your going to build your toon but still has a little more optimization options than DAOC. But not a ton of people play shadowbane...eh I dunno.

If you want to spend a larger amount of time getting to max lvl but having pvp fun on the way, I would definitely reccomend Dark Ages of Camelot. Great group vs group fighting. Its more open pvp than guildwars is. DAOC battlegrounds are the size of at least 20 Guildwars bg's. Once you get to 50 or 60(cant remember the cap) you can Realm vs Realm whish is basically a more competitive, even larger scale pvp area.

If you play daoc--pick one of the new servers that dont have artifacts and master levels.
Play hib or alb-- imo. Sorcerers/Rangers/Scouts/Eldritch are alot of fun.

COOL! Well the thing I love character builds. Being deifferent and seeing which build owns the most is my favorite!!! Like WoW and Guild Wars!

SO seeign the great replies you guys gave me I am gonna go for DAoC!

Shadowbane or Dark Age of Camelot image

but i think Shadowbane would be a bit to number crunchy and research oriented for your liking. i would go with DAoC.

daoc is for you then, because lots of people like to mess with character builds. http://www.camelotherald.com/ there's a character builder there, so you can mess around with stuff til you get the game. there are battle grounds for every level of your character, the first popular one is the Lion's Den, lv 5-9. next is Abermenai, but I don't remember what level range that is. On how to get there, it's best to ask someone.
