Game Purchasing Sites

I am curious about sites like G2A.com and gamivo.com  These are sites where you can purchase games.  The prices are better than Steam and almost all other sites I've seen.  They offer activation for steam and downloads.  Are these sites legit?  Anyone had experience good and /or bad with them?

I've only had experience with G2A out of those two. Unfortunately it is a grey area market site where a lot of keys are provided by sellers who buy them with stolen cards or who are converting costs from other regions that have cheaper upfront costs. Some of them are stolen keys too from what I remember. I've bought a couple games on there before, that I still have access to but unfortunately I have had two purchases that have been removed from my steam account, and one got my Lord of the Rings online account banned.

G2A also has an incredibly scummy system of "protection" against bad keys that will try it's hardest to auto enroll you into paying a monthly fee to help on your account, you have to jump through hoops during the purchase to read everything to make sure you aren't accidentally signing up. Also they have this weird system where if you have an account and you don't buy something in a long period of time they can potentially charge you for it? At least I've heard that, not entirely sure what exactly the deal is with that.

I would avoid any of the magical lower costing key sites unless you are okay with potentially losing the game.

Most are legit. G2A is for sure. but as @Panther2103 said be careful not to buy the bullshit "protection".

My go-to has been cdkeys.com. HRKGame.com is good too. Here is a good site to check out all the prices https://cheapdigitaldownload.com/

GMG is great if you don't feel secure with the other sites. 100% legit but not as cheap as others.

I use Greenman gaming and humble.  Every other site just seems too sketchy to me to take the chance.  Have used both sites for years and never had any issues.

Depends on your luck i guess. Most sites if you use a key, and other than for an on-line game, if it works, you will be ok. Never heard of keys to single player games being revoked later.

On-line games i have heard of keys being revoked as stolen, or purchased with stolen cards, and you either purchase the key again or lose the account.

Really, if i am buying a game, i am already pretty sure i will be playing for a while before the purchase. So paying the few extra bucks to a legit site just makes sense.
