Member since April 2005.

Never had I ever seen such scandalous actions on this site, why create reports on the whole Hong Kong situation and then lock them when conversation starts.  There was no reason for it, nothing was getting out of hand.

It's been a while now that mmorpg.com has been gone to pure shit, can't even upgrade their own site, tried twice but failed.  The whole thought process that all of a sudden they are "Tom's Hardware" and "IKEA Review" site.  That and MMOs in general are in a limbo state and barely alive as a genre.

Silencing voices was the last straw, I no longer want part in this degraded piece of shit ship wreck.

Fuck You

I know this will be deleted.

Got to admit that over the past couple of days this site's approach to discussing the Blizzard controversy comes across as having a split personality.

On the one hand the editorial staff keeps making news topics about it followed shortly by the forum staff locking the topics. This is very confusing.

I think it's about time the site's owner weighs in on just WTF is going on here.

As I posted elsewhere, this has not changed from how we've handled things for many years now. Editorial is free to cover what they want, but the RoC still applies to comments, so comment threads are closed for politically charged topics.

We simply do not have the manpower to handle moderating political/religious discussions. We came to that conclusion years ago when we had a bigger team and tried to make it work. It's just not feasible.  I apologize for the confusion, but I hope that clears things up.
