Exactly this. Many forget that Freedom of Speech has limits and especially, common sense.

Whoever goes with the @Rhoklaw idea of...Freedom of Speech, are the first who breaks the common sense of it.

You MAY say whatever the f you want here, online, but .. do you do the same in real world? When was the last time you said the exact same line, while being , i don't know, in a public place? Sure you can say that, but have you said it? No? I will tell you why you didn't : Because you need to respect others while being in the society ( that's common sense ) , because if not, well .. you have an idea of what might happen! Rules apply to "Freedom of Speech" too. Unbelievable, right?

So, freedom of speech until you get to someone's ..nerves that is.

If I think a particular politician is incompetent, I can say so.  I do not have the right to break into my neighbor's house so that I can tell him there.  Nor do I have the right to stand outside of his house shouting my opinions into a megaphone at 3 am.

I can create a web site to post my opinions there.  I can post them on sites where posting political opinions is encouraged or at least allowed, and there are many such sites.  I do not have the right to hack into a site that does not allow random members of the public to post so that I can post my opinions on a site whose owners are trying to keep me out.

There's a time and a place for many things.  The American notion of free speech is that yes, you can express whatever political opinions you please, and in a wide variety of times and places, and the government can't stop you on the basis that they disagree with you.  But not in all places and at all times.

Yeah, you just clarified the "plus more", you meant violence.

Freedom of Speech doesn't have limits. Do you even understand what it is? It means the government protects unpopular speech and cannot come kidnap you in the middle of the night for wrong think.

Maybe you didn't know this because you live in a former Soviet country. Which also explains why you've been spending days pushing for censorship like a little tin pot dictator.

I don't need to do anything "in the society".

I think you're making a big mistake. I know you're use to running around in your city with your face covered, wearing your sister's black skinny jeans, beating up old defenseless people. I'm just letting you know now, not all of us are defenseless, champ.

lol You're saying that as if it's scary. It's not. What you would be doing is assault. Assault is against the law. I would also have a lawful right to defend myself. The law is on my side in both cases. You're kinda screwed here, champ.

You do realize that freedom of speech doesn't equate to violence though. You don't have the power to just attack someone for cursing in front of your kid. That is called assault and you would be the one to go to jail. Just walk away
And what do you call the guy who does that in front of my kids or .. in society in general?!

But I love when someone says "dude, take your shitty rant about freedom of speech and go else where or I will punch you", you suddenly bring justice to the table, lol.

Edit: Just saw the "..walk away". Sorry, won't happen. I'm not the one making a scene. I having some great time with my kids and you are the one coming and disturbing the public order.

Being an asshole isn't against the law. Assault is. Also, making threats or a Call to Action is NOT protected under the Freedom of Speech.

You better learn the law before you go around assaulting people for speech you don't like, big guy.

Something about "the society", why we need to censor thoughts we don't like, demonstrating his ignorance of the 1st Amendment, and of course, beating people up that he can't censor.

He's been talking like this for days in multiple threads.

I mean you can tell us to shut up. Also yes we live in the US so we can say whatever the fuck we want, within reason. I can't go to the gas station across the street from my apartment building and tell the lady I plan on shooting her tomorrow or anything. I can't walk up to NorseGod and tell him I am going to punch his kids in the face. I mean I could but their are consequences.

I also wouldn't cry if you punched me. I would just walk away as I am not a fighter anyway. Do that to the wrong person though and your going to get your ass kicked or the cops called on you.

Like it or not freedom of speech doesn't give you the right to beat up somebody. Freedom of speech only pertains to one thing speech.

At least I think  that is what your arguing. Honestly sometimes I can't tell what point your actually trying to get across. No offense.
You are way over this. Like , way way over this.

This whole.. "idea" of a punch started when NorseGod made that statement that he can say whatever the f he wants because he's living in America. I told me that no, he can't , and gave him an exemple that at least not everywhere ( not in society where there are kids and such, because there will be consequence ). But then came your ..pal, and ask me "why not?".

And i told him that common sense is a must in society and respect of each-other, then came another guy, who said that based on US amendments 1 and 2, no one can silence him.

Well, in this case, I came with nr 3 , the punch guy.

And I stand still to my point. IF ( read that good please ) , a guy start swearing and screaming in front of my kids and doesn't show a sign of stopping it and he's "flexing" at me, I would rather punch him then risk to happen something bad to me and to my kids. Because with a...lunatic guy like that, YOU NEVER KNOW!

But hey, that's happening when you come into a discussion, and just choose a comment randomly, and start your non-sense crusade without actually paying attention to the conversation.

I get it, you don't want to read all my "crap" and if you don't, stay away from the discussion.

Edit: Clarification. It seems that's Rhoklaw and not NorseGod!

What the hell was this thread originally about again? When did it become about e-feelings?

I don't know to be honest I just got here. I didn't even read the entire thread. I just saw that @IceAge posted and had to come and see what because he is getting to be wizadry levels of entertaining
And what do you know? You guys are no better, but hey! I LOVE how you try to turn this in your favor. First you was like "Freedom of speech!! I can say whatever the fuck i want!!!!!! Because I live in USA. WHAT? Don't tell me to shut up!!!".

    You get a punch.

(While crying) "Why so violent?! Is not legal!!"

People that can fight, don't need to keep telling everyone. Let that sink in a moment.

Also, the extent of his power to censor thought, ends the moment you close your browser. He's seething because he knows this too. His immediate response is violence. These are the people that want to be "in charge" over the rest of us.

And it all starts with tiny, innocent steps, such as RIOT, such as another Studio that shall not be named. The only power is what we allow them.
