Giving this a pass for now. I have watched some game play and it's not very impressive. Maybe when it's 50% off I might grab it, but I have a large backlog of games as it is.

Highly doubt it. Having done some reviews for the sister site there is no money changing hands nor do they give hints on "where they want the review to go."

Funny that I see this accusation all the time on this website. You have no clue at all how marketing works if you think Disney/EA payed a site like this to review a game based on the largest franchise of all time.
Not as deep and intricate as KOTOR or Force Unleashed, more like a lite version. Most of the time spent is exploration and getting to some areas. Not bad overall.

Well, since some other developers offer in some cases even hundreds of hours of entertainment for the same price you gotta admit the "worth" is highly arguable and subjective.

Based on what? I already listed games that fell within that range or less. How much longer should it be?

Games like The Witcher and Skyrim and Kingdoms of Amalur or the Dragon Age or ME games, for example. I don't buy games that end just when I'm getting into them.
But I do have Origin Basic so I'll DL and play some of those over a weekend sometimes. They're just too short to be on my go-to games list especially when they're story based with limited replayability.

No, they don't add it as padding. Anything that is seen as good gameplay in one game gets passed to every other. It is just that we don't all like all of it in every game. I like climbing towers anyway, don't mind taking a camp but hate the useless collectibles. So games are stuffed with this sort of play as they know you will like one of these things. But yes, putting them all in distorts gameplay and I wish it would be curtailed.
There is an alternative, put more of the gameplay in that makes this a good game from what I hear. More content of this sort gameplay has would appeal to everyone.
Denuvo is a PUP that has wearing effects in your hardware amd consumes lots of resources. I wouldnt put a veto on games because of it, although I add it into my purchase consideration, but I cant perfectly understand it if someone does.
Games have it stated in their DRM so its not something trivial. An this is only from the gaming point of view. Not gonna comment on the breach of "in dubio pro reo" or moral consecuenses of these market techniques
Personally I was going to buy the game at Game Stop, but since I found out it uses Denuvo not going to, and if I were to rate this game i'd give a flat zero because through-out the entire game it uses additional resources it does not need by using Denuvo, and slowing down a persons performance and PC more than needed.
But this is just me, i'll be waiting if the game goes Free 2 Play in the future on Origin, but until then not worth my money, though I have my eyes on Cyberpunk 2077, think i'll snag me a collectors edition shortly for $200+ at Game Stop DRM free with Multi-Player support said to come love them developers a lot over Bioware except for the Older Jedi Knight Dark Forces II, and Jedi Knight Academy / original KOTR game.
If Denuvo is slowing down your PC perhaps its time to upgrade my friend. I doubt you could even run the game if thats the case. Also does Game Stop sell PC copies anymore?

Well, tbf Denuvo is utter trash software. Not sure if it would prevent me from buying a good game though. But in this case, I don't have to think about that. Because the story of this game is so short, I would never pay full price for it anyway. Maybe I'll pick it up some day at a sale.

I think a 25-30 hr SP game is fine. I have played many games far shorter than that, but I never spent 60 on them. Game needs to be 40+ at least before I will drop that kind of money on it. I don't care how good the game is.

Ah, so I was right.... this is exactly like The Force Unleashed. Sure, the combat may be different, but the story is similar and the length of the game is about the same. Yep, not worth it, just another over hyped POS.

Most of their bad rep came from how they chose to monetize their games. Not the games themselves, imo theyve delivered quality games at least from the ones ive played.
I'm confused. This review puts the campaign at 15 hours. I've seen other reviews putting it as low as 10. But the chosen number from the "it's not too short" crowd seems to be 25-30 (I'm surprised it's not up to 30-35 now that we're on page 4 of this thread )

I found the force unleashed more fun TBH.
