Anyone heard of GameTap?

Sorry if this has been brought up in the past, but I just noticed this on Gamespot a little while ago:

Anyone heard anything else about it? It might be halfway decent just so long as the games it has aren't totally ancient..

I only brought it up because it was in Gamespot's news section yesterday, it's getting ready to launch soon, and I thought it was interesting.

It kind of sounds like the cable channel TV Land, but for games .
