3rd gen Ryzen Memory question

Does anyone know if Ryzen 3rd gen is a picky as the earlier models for what memory it will use.  I was looking around and AMD does not look to have an updated their approved list since 2017:

I may be building a new PC soon and don't want to have memory compatibility issues.

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

AMD's memory support has gotten better with successive AGESA updates as incorporated into newer BIOSes.  At this point, that memory support list is obsolete to the point that AMD really ought to take it down.  You can get a newer memory support list from motherboard vendors.

The issue for first Gen ryzen wasn't really the architecture but the silicon. Subsequent batches were less finicky with memory.

Recommend not wasting money on super fast RAM.
