WTF is up with Mourning?

So, I was looking for something to hold me over until Auto Assault comes out, and I came across some talk about Mourning.  I am pretty sure that I saw it listed here awhile back.  According to this site http://techgage.com/mmonews.php?id=1100 It has already been released.  I went to the official site and it does infact have a button to "play now".  The site is being updated now, and I am too impatient to wait to see if the game is actually out or if this is some snafu.  This game has some truly unique ideas, and it would be well worth the $20 CD Key(according to techgage) to try it out.  So, anyone know what the deal is with this game?

Oh no, don't stir the Mourning pot.

The game has been bought by a new company and is supposedly going back into beta testing. If you really are interested, just keep checking the site and hope it actually does come back up. You will be able to sign up for beta testing I'm sure.

Mourning was actually "playable" and for sale to anyone a month ago, but it was buggy and had little content (and none of the unique ideas). So, you wouldn't have wanted to play anyway unless you really wanted to just support the developers for no reason.

Maybe Darkfall will do the open PvP/skill system thing right.  Guess I will be playing NCSoft/SOE games for awhile yet.  Thanks for the info.

Do a search here on mmorpg.com about Mourning and you'll find enough that this isn't your game..

The devs have long since left and gone to spend the $11.50 left over from the "creative game management" (kind description of ripoff) they did by releasing a broken alpha client and charging for it.

I should have guessed when it wasn't listed on MMORPG.com.  I initially was going to do a search, but I can't seem to find a search option on these boards..

Apparently, they are selling the engine.  Doesn't have a price or download, just a contact like most high end(read expensive $$$$) engines.  If it is as bad as the thread you linked says, then this looks like a huge scam.
