I don't see myself playing the non JP version ever myself.

The only reason I could see that is because you've already invested a lot of time/money on the JP version. Other than that there is not reason not to. You'll be able to play with people that speak the same language as yourself, not just one one server like the JP version. You can play with RL friends. You can read the story text, not the fan translated attempt that is out right now for the JP servers. And you get the same content as the JP version, because the SEA version was missing a lot of content so I understand why even though it was in English, it was a inferior to the JP version.

I personally invested quite a bit of time in the JP ver. I don't mind starting over but I don't think I'll do so easily if I have to give up my collection of cosmetics lol It's been a couple years now but I still remember grinding for my Archer cosmetics from the Fate/Stay collab.

and I doubt they will put this colabs here, unless its sold on cash shop

I have been playing this game on the Thialand and now Japanese servers.

Thanks to the hard work from Arks translation team 90% the games in English now.

Think I'll continue to play there I love the game it's fun but I can usually do dailies and weeklies in arround an hour .

I think someone's post on here was right I may love the game but it is defently dated now and the gameplay and graphics show their age.

    Current games;
    Star treck online
    Rift
    Eve online
    Firefall

    Sort of.

    PSU
    PSO
    BB

I can go on how fast games in the ps-style survive barely on western shores.
Hell I play Nova still in the jp version because the player base is like massive.

PSO2 in jp is a phenom type of thing. It effects the actual culture gaming wise and of course just straight out doing things very japanese.

The US will censor alot you can be sure of that.
The Us version will exist for like a few years max and close down suddenly.

So I'd suggest just playing jp where it won't just close down suddenly. Sega is a shitty company about maintaining international games. That's just a fact of life.

If it's not japanese based Sega will literally fuck it off after they made they losses back..which is what sega is perpetual losses lol.

meh come back when they have a date for PC

I think that's what most of us are thinking. I honestly believe this game is going to blow up when it comes to the PS4 & Switch. This is a very Japanese game, in a good way, and fans of Japanese devs usually play on Sony or Nintendo's console. Too many dude-bros on the Microsoft consoles. Thankfully since the game is rather old even PCs with integrated GPUs can run the game in 2019.

the game is PS4 console exclusive in Japan, so i suspect the western exclusivity on XB is for a limited time. It will eventually release on PC and PS4, maybe even the Switch. In fact, the game is so old i'm sure it would run very well on the Switch.

Do you guys not really know how Xbox works anymore? Xbox Insider now covers both PC and Xbox, game is releasing on both at the same time. Thats how Xbox PC exclusives work now. Since Microsoft runs both they release on both. Has been that way with Gears 5, Halo MCC, and other games they put out this year, like Outer Worlds.

Yes that is how it works for Microsoft but unless i'm missing something, not all XB games are available on W10 yet. Just like not all XB games are on Gamepass. As they unify their service eventually all of them will.

If it launches on both PC and XB simultaneously that's great. The intent of my post was mainly to say the exclusivity to Microsoft's platform in the west is a limited time because the game is actually PS4 and PC in Japan, so it will eventually release everywhere else in the west.

microsoft after some long time start to figure since the development is the same for both, only the required input would differ, they start to work on both, but note sometimes they will take they time to launch on pc, just so to keep xo box on
