    Yah! Strong mobile game sales. Let’s get rid of pc and console games right? Why not? Mobile games make more money. Gaming market is going to continue to try up as these 5 year olds use their parents credit cards. I mean I get it.. if I was a business I would go mobile for the money. Real gaming is dying. Seriously people play a shooter on a mobile device... never thought I would see the day.

    Just goes to show how bad the gaming industry is for games if this game is still king. The game is horrible( to me personally ) sad sad times we live in right now for games. We definitely need some new good ones to come out to wash this trash away.

    Real gaming is dying? We've had so many great titles recently. None of them even remotely mobile or fortnite-like.

    To put things in perspective McDonald's gross profits last year were in the $10.5B range. I know gross profits are not the same as revenues but one is McDonalds and the other just this little game.

    Real gaming is dying? We've had so many great titles recently. None of them even remotely mobile or fortnite-like.
    I was just about to post the same thing. Beat me to it.
    I see this gaming is dead crap all the time! If you're just refusing to play games or only play one niche-genre that's your own fault. I don't play a single mobile or BR title and I'm still way behind on my game library. I just this weekend got to start Outward co-op with a friend and its amazing so far!

    You're late to the party, the focus is already shifting to mobile over other platforms.

    People are so blind. putting so much money into fortnite and what they get? two maps in like how many years? what a joke of a game. no content at all. selfish company.

    I tell my friends all the time whenever a game is free on EGS and they all act like little bitches because they "don't want to install the EGS app".  Well, guess what?  I have added well over $500 of games to my library and have never given them one cent.  Even if they close shop tomorrow or my account gets hacked or whatever, I am out absolutely nothing.

    It goes to show where the priorities are.

    I think we really need another crash and go back to when gaming wasn't reliant on live services with zero content designed to be watchable twitch money making ads. But what do i know.

    Fortnite is not a game. It's cancerous thing that puts 100 people against each other until only one can win, thus punishing the rest. Games are rewarding for the players and this POS is not rewarding for 99 participants. Even a simple moba like LOL rewards 5 out of 10 players. No wonder kids need therapy after playing posnite.

    Yet the world throws money at it, same as it throws votes at corrupt politicians. Perfect product for a dumb world.

    Fortnite is a good game in its genre.

    But I hate the predatory monetization of games like these. Especially when they aim it at under age kids that spend their parent's money on it. This is bad for gaming in general imo.

    And it worries me that so many young kids think it is normal to pay through the nose for CC and gambling in games. Their parents should be more aware of what they are allowing.

    You need to think about restricting your time in FO76, it may be effecting your well being. :)

    I understand it perfectly. and the model is working great. spend less - earn more. Well after few rounds it gets boring. the same old map over and over again. skins doesn't do it much, still the same game, the same mechanics. with that much revenue every other company would've made like 20 different game modes, new guns with different mechanics, new abilities, new characters with different mechanics and so on. but yeah if it works why bother to re-invent the wheel. and that fortnite 2 map is even worse. less creativity than the original.
    Well the game is not for us. so im not complaining, im just saying why im not playing it. it's obvious that the company targeting younger people, kids, teenagers and so on. the main demography is kids so that's why there is no different maps, mechanics and so on. it would be way too complicated for kids to understand the game.
    so yeah im not hating the game because I understand that it's not for us. but if u like it - good for you, have fun bro :)

    You are talking about a different game. This is not what Fortnite does. You should be pushing for these other games you bemoan to adopt Fortnite's model.

    Now if only we could believe Superdata's guesstimates.

    They did get themselves bought by Neilsen though. Neilsen's own 100% (in)accurate guesstimates having totally bombed.

    Clearly all those private companies that don't say anything, and public companies, some of which report quarterly so don't rarely say anything that might influence their share prices, were giving all info to Superdata. Along with Steam and the credit card companies. How could I be so blind not to see this .....

    Key take away: Fortnite is making a lot of money. For the next really obvious statement tune in at 10.

    C'mon, predatory cash shop? you don't need to buy anything to fully enjoy the game...MMORPG's have a lot to learn from games like Fortnite, League of Legends, Dota or Path of Exile, those are cash shops I'm absolutely fine with
