imageMike's Tips for Final Fantasy VII Remake

It's been almost a week now since the first part of Final Fantasy VII Remake arrived at my doorstep and I don't think I've ever put so many hours into a game in such a short amount of time in my entire gaming life.  These are some helpful tips for jumping into Midgar with Cloud and crew.

Here's my tip, don't pay $59.99 for a unfinished game.

Gotta say, that's an attention grabber. I would try it on that alone.

I’ll play it in two or three years when the whole thing is on sale on Steam for $20. Would never, ever pay full game price for a piece of a game filled with filler BS

your looking at least 6 years

I've almost completed my playthrough, and I love it.

After the deeply flawed FF13 and FF15, this is a welcome sign of things to come. If the future of the Final Fantasy franchise looks and plays anything like this, I'll be happy.

Pressing Option then Triangle will bring up the Save option, saving some time!

I completed the game, ridiculously awesome. One of the better games I've played in recent years by far. Whoever says its incomplete is an idiot who doesn't know anything about it. If you said the story is incomplete I would agree because it is, to say the game is would be a flat out lie. Lotr fotr is not an incomplete movie but an incomplete story, that's it.

If you skip this your missing out!

I'm someone who has beat the original FF7 game over 50 times. I know everything about it. No, I'm not joking, I am simply better at that game than anybody else on earth. I know every item, every steal, every enemy weakness, every hidden wall, every line of freakin' dialogue even the most insignificant NPCs say. My knowledge on it just goes above and beyond. Like, I've been Rank 1 Gladiator on World of Warcraft, I'd say my knowledge on WoW is great, but it PALES in comparison to how good I am at FF7.
Naturally, loving the game this much, I didn't want the remake to come, I thought it would disembody the game I adored and just crap all over it.
    I WAS WRONG.
I've never been able to say "it was breathtaking" in regards to anything in my life - but this would damn well be the closest. It's that good. You can tell how much love and thoughtfulness was put into this game. People saying "haha, i'll wait until it's on sale", yeah, meanwhile, even if the game was inflated to TEN times it's price right now, I would STILL have been happy with my purchase. Honestly, when it comes to this game, even discussing it's monetary vaule is a joke. You simply don't deserve to ever play it.
Now, there's still a few things I would of changed - I wish I had been part of the development team to oversee what gets added/taken out, but unfortunately.. yeah. This game is a 95/100, I would of just made it 100/100.

Only starting Ch8 but so far my only nag is that the controls feel a bit sluggish. I mean, it’s almost identical to FFXV with respect to character movement, and only a few tweaks away on the combat. But I thought FFXV felt a bit ... heavy ... to control as well.

Not a deal breaker - still amazing so far. Just my only criticism this far in.

Best tip ever for this game and I say this as a huge huge Final Fantasy fan! Also not a big fan of lets play a game and then have to wait years to finish it all...it just doesn't feel right for a single player game of this genre to me.

This here is exactly what I mean that I am not a fan for game sold in chapters or parts where you have to wait a year or so in between "chapters/parts"

Guess I just am stuck in old man mode where I love having a sequel to a game but want some kind of resolution or completeness to a game, it's how The previous FF worked same for breath of fire's, crystalis, zelda's, dragon warrior's, star tropics etc etc.

I mean most of the streamers I watch have by far already completed it, took like 30 hours or so maybe a little more for some.  Not too bad and I can live with that but waiting to continue on to the next chapter...err no.

That's okay though cause that means I don't have to buy a PS4 just for one game!

Unless it comes to Steam on PC I will never see it...I played it many years ago (dont even remember what format) and it was a good game, probably the best of the FF series.

It has a 1 year exclusive then it's free to go to w/e platform.

Oh yeah back on subject, level chakra, pray and don't sleep on weapon skills to learn. It actually happens quick if you read the descriptions and will give some really good weapons some very nice abilities.
