Hytale ..a better Minecraft looks promising.

I am not big on the Minecraft idea but i see a lot of potential here with a LOT of various systems inside the game.Rather than personally trying to explain everything that is going on i am using this You Tuber to describe it.

    It does look interesting :)

    I've been glancing at Hytale off and on and am unsure if I will play it or not.

    Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    Boundless tried the MMO Minecraft thing,  and even does it well.  Though In my opinion it also does a good job at demonstrating why you shouldn't add RPG leveling to a Minecraft'A'Like (constantly ended up waffling around waiting for exp to trickle in for a skill point, need to switch to alts that had a different friend list, respeccing as a monetization strategy, and similar things that just brought everything to a complete stop even things you shouldn't like grouping with things like some specs not even to be on the same world as a group since the atmosphere is a different style of poisoned than they're specced for).

    Looks interesting I went and checked some more recent videos too.



    Does indeed look good and here's hoping they don't have open PvP .

    I loved TROVE, and still play it from time to time.. I will say.. I am not a fan of the First Person view.

    But I might look into this.

    Yeah Tencent has done a good job with Riot. It will be interesting to see how the portfolio expands even further with some of the unannounced, in the pipeline, deals Tencent is working on for the near future.

    Yeah Tencent has done a good job with Riot. It will be interesting to see how the portfolio expands even further with some of the unannounced, in the pipeline, deals Tencent is working on for the near future. 

    Also , the FCMKF IPs are going to be getting some rescources and direction , so that they may finally see there full potential ..  Pretty excited by that also

    No it has both first and third person view. I get carsick if it is first person view anyway.

    Here's a bit of unknown yet useless trivia - Trion had Trove 2 in the plans that had a complete engine and framework rebuilt from ground up to be way more scalable. 

    Trove engine was built as an after work skunks project by 2 Trion devs, so it had some major limitations that kept Trove limited in scale.

    But... again Trove 2 will forever remain a dream... all those devs are long gone and no longer part of Scamigo
