Be careful about info you get from bazgrim. He has a tendency to spin things in a way that is sometimes not entirely accurate. I think he does it to try to put a positive spin on things even if it ends up not being correct.
It would helpful to me if you'd provide specific examples of times that I've done this. I'm not saying it's NEVER happened.
Honestly man, I stopped watching your videos because of it. I know people dont like the term "white knighting" but that's how I would describe it. At this point in development, with so many empty promises from the dev team, you are doing a diservice to people when you are overly optimistic about the project. Everything we are told from the team needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
I dunno, from the few videos of his I've viewed his approach is to report on what he has seen, or to summarize what the devs have specifically said into a more coherent dialogue.
He assumes the devs are being truthful, nothing wrong with this, no point to accuse others of lying unless there is clear evidence of it occuring.
While it may be true he's not reporting through a very critical lense, there's no shortage of streamers who do such so what's the real harm of his more positive view on what is publically known?

I think that's the telling thing here. Someone has issues with x, y and z; the person who is talking with the devs isn't grilling them about x, y and z and therefore they aren't asking the "pertinent questions!"
I've actually noticed that I've been "rolling my eyes" at some of the youtube videos I see that list some streamer's "concerns."
"X game is announced: I have concerns"
me: *rolls eyes* "do you now?"
But then again, I just take these games as they come. I have no true input/say as to what they should do so if it's a good game then "great." If not then "fine, moving on ... "
I should add, I agree with you, his videos are just him reacting to what is being told, he seems a generally positive person and it doesn't seem like his purpose is to grill them or to catch them in lies so we can say "ha! I knew it!"

Let's be honest, streamers who intentionally try to catch them in some sort of mis-truth aren't very likely to be invited back.

We all know VR and other companies want to put a positive spin on things. That is a given. They try to present things through a positive PR lens. I dont fault them for that at all. When an unsponsored streamer presents info they shouldnt be presenting in the same way.
Call it what you want. White knighting, head in the clouds, ostrich syndrome, naivety, whatever.
My thing is, if you have been following closely from the beginning and still aren't taking what they tell us with a grain of salt at this point that is your issue.
I could make a list of things they have told us over the years that didnt end up being the reality.
This is where we are at based on the information we have been given repeatedly over the long run. There is a pattern..
It doesnt help the newer people to have a youtuber repeating what the devs say verbatim without making a disclaimer that often times what they say ends up not being accurate. Newer followers think if the dev team says something that is what will happen because they simply dont know any better. It is not helping to string them along. It is not presenting the given information as accurately as possible.
