Gonna wait for full release and reviews. Not gonna spend money on half baked / unfinished product.

The beta that ended 2 weeks ago was a complete mess, I wouldn't bother with it until things are fixed.

Anyone that wants the offline solo play do not buy it now and flame that it doesn't have it. The discussion threads, and reviews on steam are full of idiots that can't read that it will not be released till the final product is done. They actually stated that on the store page but so many people these days can't take the time to actually read anything.

With that said this is not a true torchlight game right now. It is a decent game though. Like most of the torchlight games when they launched, it is very shallow with things right now as far as skill trees an such. It was the modding community that made the first two games what they were to be honest.

They are having issues now with the servers which they have had from day one, pretty sure this was part of the decision to dump a lot of the MMO stuff other than testers like me telling them that part was making the game worse.

People would have a decent time playing through it a couple times with the different classes but the endgame really isn't there to keep you to engaged right now.

Overall though if you are looking for another ARPG to kill some time it isn't a bad choice.

I dont care the offline issue, just only a half baked game will spoil my mood when playing.
So when full release then we will speak of.

Some scathing remarks but I would still like to see some youtube videos after more people get a chance to play the game.

As much as lacking on content Minecraft Dungeons is (currently next month's DLC probably gonna help a lot) - it is FAR superior gameplay wise to Torchlight 3.

Base gameplay in Minecraft Dungeons is 100% solid - it's compelling and it works great.

On the other hand,Torchlight 3 is a very poor game - it's lacking everything that made T1 and T2 good. The base game is just not good, it's not fun, it's design is terrible... it's like a cake where recipe was lost and someone inexperienced just tried to make it anyway and it turned out awful.

There's just no other way to put this - but Torchlight 3 is a bad game, it's a failure - if you are even a diehard Torchlight fan - if you want a new ARPG game -  I'd recommend paying $20 for Minecraft Dungeons instead

Also $29 for Torchlight 3 is a damn travesty - the game feels like F2P game at best - maybe a  $2.99 bargain bin game and that would be pushing it

Gonna get minecraft dungeons soonish for my son. No idea which platform, switch, pc or ps4.

I was over a year in closed beta. This game is piece of sh... , to say least its way worse than Torchlight 2 or 1.

And that is compliment for this game.

    Stay away !

Take a completely average game series with lots of heart and soul. Now rip out the heart and soul and replace it with something resembling molten plastic. Then take all the average mechanics and downgrade them, a lot. Then give all the developers the assignment to treat the left over carcass like its suffering from multiple personality disorder.

That is TL3, and I am being nice. I have always found the TL series overrated, but this game is just bad.

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

This game is bleeding on steam..people are angry and dislike it..it was slated to be free to play and now cost money..only 7 skill and 2 tree and no loot or hardly anything..also they say its the mobile version...RIP T3

Everything that can be said has been said.

Boring game, with terrible design decisions and priorities.

It's only multiplayer and no solo mode until actual release. It says so on the page if you read the entire thing. I'm waiting for solo mode.

They pivoted hard mid-development and it shows. It's complete garbage.

This just doesn't stack up to it's competitors in the arpg genre atm. There's plenty of finished games that are better than this like Grim Dawn or POE, or even Torchlight 2 is a better option right now. Even if you want a new arpg and want to try something that is in early access, Last Epoch is far superior at this point in time and costs about the same. It really shows that the original dev team behind the Torchlight series are no longer involved with this.

The beta testers are giving the game really bad reviews. The game is just not fun. Many saying they are going back to Torchlight 2. The consensus is the game needed much more work before it should have been let out of beta.
