And it will all be outdated and lack "fidelity"

Except graphic quality and new features like planet tech V4 and height map do significantly increase the whole game which was already gorgeous... and this is jsut Alpha quarterly improvment.
+170.000 new Citizens since last patch 3.9 end of March.

Clearly the gaming community don't agree with a few guys in some random comments sections :)

Star Citizen's last patch is 3.10, not 3.9

Also patch 3.9 was released in April, not in March.

That's not what it means. They count all registered users, including free trials.

How many of those are free trials? That is the point. With the amount of money and developers, supposedly, working on this game, it should have been out and done. Not 'We can't do a road map because we can't get our cinematics right'.

I guess they are counting me too then. I signed up and was about to pay when I read that paying is only a donation, there is no expectation of a game implied. Signing up and paying does not mean you will ever get a game.

    So I stopped right there.

Ya, I boughT Bless Online, Atlas and so many other released games that I wish were also games. In many cases, it was a AAA company releasing the game. Every crowd funded project has the same stipulation.

That change nothing as I took the time between released patch, which is 3.9 vs 3.10. The 170.000 NEW citizens number is still correct.

That is precisely why CIG do offer several weeks of fre access to anyone per year: let anyone decide.
Your explaination just mean you never join ANY crowdfunded project. Fine, this is not for everyone. Same for Alpha.

Join whenever you are ready :)

I said "New Citizens" not new backers.
That said, based on past data, roughly half of registred account are counted as individual backers, hence individual who did pledged $.

So the number of backers is close to 1.4 million.

You gotta admit blah blah blober, that's pretty impressive. 8 years of development, years over promised delivery and only in an early disconnected module alpha yet the game still has people like you running in to save the day. That is truly amazing!

Ah ya got me, sorry guess they finally have a small portion of the PU up with last I remember very limited capacity. So sorry... white knights like you and blah who come defend an early state alpha with a very small portion of the game in alpha after 8 years of development and a "money is not an issue" funding... again, very impressive stuff

Still deciphering that first sentence (second one is a typical troll throw away comment of no true meaning). Are you implying that you are not a Star Shitizen white knight (defender)? If so thats pretty laughable.
