Naw i love the new site. After watching the shakeout vid i'm contemplating on making a pledge, this is an mmorpg
Then you are good to go as "Pledge Now" is prominently featured top and center on the home page and likely is the first thing anyone sees when first visiting the site.
Probably should have put it in neon pink instead of gold but it clearly let's the viewer know what's most important.
All they need now is to hire Roddy Piper (They Live) as their pitchman.

The site revamp looks pretty good. I was immediately surprised that the font size was larger than before, so my Ctrl-+ x5 needed to be adjusted to Ctrl-+ x4. It made me think my eyes were getting better.
Also, I am now able to read through their forums, where I don't think I could before. I doubt I'll ever attempt to post there, but it's nice the forums aren't behind a pay wall anymore. Don't know when that happened, but it's a good thing.

Funny thing was on the old site i found how to pledge immediately, this one had to hunt for it, then noticed once you scroll down it pops, they got your color down lol
The fact i actually checked is huge, will i? doubtful, will i buy it when it's cooked, Hell Yeah! I'd probably pre-order which they will most likely do. As long as there is a playable finished game, i'm 100% in on this.

Ha after 6 years, they still couldn't even update their forums. It took 6+ years just to change the theme, and all the old forum bugs are still there. So terrible. What a clown show.

If you paid attention when the website update was originally announced, you'd already know that the new forums weren't going to be included in phase 1. The fact that they updated the theme is an unexpected bonus!
Ok, so apparently on the Champion pledges and higher they removed the 6 months subscription that was included.
Looks like the lifetime subscription is no longer included on the $10,000 tier either.
I guess all pledge tiers now just come with an initial 30 days of playtime?
Looks like this is the case. I guess they figured going forward they'll need someone to start paying subs from day one in case not enough interest is generated initially outside of the backer community.

Mmmm clawing back pledge rewards. Well, at least their sticking with the Shroud of the Avatar theme in slapping their pledgers, especially the original ones that took the biggets risk.
Well if you know me i wouldn't say it looks good if it "webpage" didn't and yes it looks great.
That still won't sell me on the game itself. As i stated in the past, what i want will NOT be in this game and likely NEVER will be.This will be just an old school clone and over time will not improve, instead you will get more of the same, new zones, new abilities and new creatures. I could "maybe"get on board if i knew the long term goal was to IMPROVE the game with new features like for example MInecraft type features, then yeah it would get me excited.
Old school has run it's course, been there done that and for thousands of hours and over a very long time and over many games,so yeah not interested in that anymore.I need to the mmorpg genre to EVOLVE and in a positive way and not evolve into something stupid or a NON mmorpg.
I feel we will see devs try and change mmorpg's into arpg's "already happening" or into MHW type games before we see POSITIVE change.

All crowdfunded games, as they get the money they need and the testers they need. They claw back on that stuff. Its a good sign that VR is doing so. It means things are going well for them.

Wow, praising them for screwing over their original pledgers? I can see why this game is doing so well, with a community like this.
They didn't remove any rewards from people who bought pledges already. It only affects any new purchases going forwards.
So quite the opposite. They're rewarding original pledgers by removing rewards and increasing prices for those who didn't pledge early.
And this isn't the first time. They previously removed some tiers and if you bought those you get those rewards even if you upgrade your pledge. They have stated multiple times that what you paid for at the time is what you will get.
Summoner and enchanter could never use swords. That has always been wizard only for arcane casters...
No. All three had “1h-piercing” available. Now Wizard had swords and Enchanter/Summoner have daggers. Daggers were separate from 1h piercing. There are streams with Enchanters using swords.

Exactly what I was thinking. They wouldn’t be downgrading pledges like that if they weren’t financially secure. The subscriptions was the most enticing part of those tiers.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'
