It’s fun how people „focus“ on the most important parts of a beta to judge about them. I bet you have absolutely no clue about the game, what it offers, or how it functions. You....should play New World. It doesn’t look barren, but that’s about it

Idd new world looks/feels better.
For me both felt pretty boring and disappointing. It was mostly how the worlds in each looked and felt, how shallow the combat in both felt and the overall questing experience felt like the most generic drag I've seen in quite a while.
I don't think either of those games will be much successful. New World although has better chances as the developers have all the money they need, it's only a matter of creativity whether they will pull off something interesting or something boring that will end up having some people play it only because it's new, not because it's good or interesting.
Followed Crowfall for years, but didn't buy into it until it was about to go into Beta. It's not a game with endless pve content and nor was it supposed to be, it's an open world pvp game with a unique always slightly changing campaign system. Players create the content with their decisions of where (which campaign ruleset) and their actions (pvp). Featuring both rvr and gvg pvp options it already provides a smoother pvp experience than most launched mmo's. Atm, the only problem is the population size is small compared to what launch will look like.

I think PvP players might be looking forward to it.
Nope the game is a wreck. The pvp is zerg vs zerg, the combat feels terrible, there is no content, artificial grinds and a time gated grind. Meaningless territory control, unbalanced classes, horrible pve, nothing to do in game once you reach level 30. I would have said this would be the worst recently soon to be released mmorpg I've seen until New World.

If New World and Crowfall are deemed to have insufficient game on launch that's the end of PvP centric MMOs. Rather than go for a fully fledged RvR like DAOC, I am starting to think both games have half-assed it.

I agree, NW looks and feels much, much better than CF, but NW is basically ready for launch while CF is still very much in beta.
Outside of looks though, I would say NW is far better than CF in just about every way at the moment. I see a lot of promise in CF but its got some fundamental problems that I am unsure can be fixed.
Just to name a few problems in CF off the top of my head 1) A disjointed, disconnected game "world" totally lacking immersion, 2) an overly broad scope- seems to be trying to do way too many things, 3) complete lack of any guild/community functionality within the game, 4) a broken, dysfunctional crafting system, 5) a terrible, unintuitive, almost unusable UI, 6) a dearth of character customization, 7) what appears to be an unsustainably steep vertical progression system ... etc.

Maybe it's just me who has no idea what a "Doober" is... but... huh?

I'm certain this game will never take off.
I think PvP players might be looking forward to it.
