I broke down and bought Assassin' Creed Valhalla. I was playing odyssey but realized I wanted something more dark and gritty and it's just too damn sunny in Odyssey.
REALLY love it. I'm not even to England which once again tells me that my tastes do not run congruent to the tastes of the average player as I've read that many seem to really like it once you get to England and not before.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
Demon Souls once the PS5 comes to the door (next week I would expect).
Genshin Impact for some mindless exploration.
Baldurs Gate Early Access (beat it as a Wizard and a Rogue so far)
Bloodborne
Star Wars Galaxies and SWTOR, SWG for the sandbox, crafting, and most of all the flight sim no better then this game not even the new Squadrons. SWTOR for the story.
Picked up AC: Valhalla for the Xbox Series X and have been playing that over the weekend.
Unfortunately I'm not playing any mmos right now.
Who really is?
I've been trying. I seem to be stuck in some map for Lord of the Rings Online minas tirith last battle and I can't figure out how to get out and finish it. I did a mission that I thought would progress the damn thing but after I killed the final bad guy it wasn't clar what I needed to do or where I needed to go to officially finish.
"Screw that" I said and tried to go back to Aion but it just seems silly now. They really did the game no justice with further development.
Then I said "you know what? I'll try Blade and Soul again." Downloaded it but not only did I find the early combat more dull than I remember, the difficulty is way too easy and on top of that it seems like it's mostly quest based with not a lot to do on each quest. Uninstalled.
Maybe Black Desert again I just don't know.

I commend you for perseverance, I no longer can find the fun in most MMORPGS, it's me, not them, well mostly.

I do try to take them for what they are as opposed to what I want them to be.
That is difficult as I was really looking for worlds and not "games."
Most of all mmorpgs are games so it's hard to play them on my terms as opposed to what the developers want me to do.

I am actually playing this month the same game I was playing last month. A shock to our butterflies I know, but games can last you longer than a week before you leave them unfinished and go on to the next one.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

I thought I might tease one of you away from flitting round the field of gaming flowers.
But now I have to get back to some serious playing of games.
