When you misslead (lie) to everyone about key aspects of your game, release it with too many bugs and game killing issues, you don't get to "fix" it. You did it INTENTIONALY. It wasn't a mistake, it wasn't an accident. It was on purpose.

Now, you can try to make it all good after the fact, but it doesn't change what you did.

    Bingo.

What they did was 100% planned - they knew the right thing to do was to delay into 2021... but the greedy fuckers wanted that sweet Xmas pre-sales money.

The employees should be calling for the execs to resign

If all the execs at CDPR keep their jobs - imma ask GoG for a refund. The 30 day timer is ticking boys ;)
You are all acting like the game is a disaster on every platform.

Its bad on older consoles. Yes it sucks, but stop making a "big thing" out of it. Whoever wants, they can get a refund. What do you want more? Move on already.

The game has solid reviews for PC and Next Gen Consoles, including on Steam and Metacritic.com. This reminds me of The Witcher 3 when it first released. Many bugs and stuff like this and we all know how it turned out.

Question : can these machines run Cyberpunk 2077

    Answer : no

Question : Will Cyberpunk work for backwards compatibility when people buy xbox X/S or PS5

    Answer : yes

Why did Sony completely removed the game from it's service if they are confident of PS5 preorders

    Answer : ?

IMHO that for some reason, how Sony is implementing their consoles specs isn't optimized for modern game development. AMD technology is solid, but why only Sony making the biggest stink ?

The game was in production for 6 years before ps5 and series X dev kits got widely distributed.  The original launch date was for before there were launch dates for the new gen consoles.  This was designed to be a last gen game.  As for why Sony removed it from the PSN, it is probably because tens of millions of people have a ps4 and hundreds of thousands of people have a PS5.

Its a 7/10 game on PC.

    Not horrible, but not great.

Would have been an easy 9/10 if

    - put in a police system as promised with police bounties and police chases

    - had 3 origins play like 3 different games as promised

    - had those 1000 routines they promised for NPCs walking around the city instead of being

    - have alternate ways to complete the main story other than Keanu being the main attraction, would have been awesome to complete the game with Jackie by your side instead for example

    - add more variety to side quests

    - add more sandbox play options allowing to change ones appearance, buy and decorate more home/apartment locations

    - add more interactive options to make the wold feel more like a sandbox and not just a backdrop for the main story- allow more interactions with people in the world

The game could have been so amazing given another year of development
7/10 is Great. 9/10 is Amazing

Anyway, 7/10 is more then decent actually. They have time to improve it, and I am not worrying that they will not.

Problem is, you were SO harsh that "they are greedy, they failed, they ...release a DISASTER", when in reality, is mostly for Older Consoles.

So take off your head off the hate train and point the real problems and not make it like the game, as a whole, is a big fail.

    Thanks!

So the conclusion is the PS4 cannot  and will never be able to effectively run Cyberpunk 2077?

I noticed their offer to refund out of their own pocket ends on Dec 21st, well before Christmas day when son will be receiving the physical copy my wife bought for him from GameStop.

Should we contact GameStop and try to return it unopened before then do you think?
I would get a refund right now if I were you and had bought this for my son on one of those two consoles.  Either get it for him on PC or wait for the new consoles if you have plans on getting the new console.

If I remember well, skyrim had shallow combat and was riddled by bugs when it came out.

Making the game improvable by the modding community still allow it to be viable 9 years later (about 30,000 concurrent players right now on steamcharts -- skyrim + skyrim se combined).

The best decision this management team should take right now is to release modding tools.

Then the game would become mythic.

Thanks, will see if we can open an RMA with GameStop, if not, file with the the publisher by tomorrow.

I am thinking back to the way a song and dance was made about Anthem by EA's CEO in the spring (?) quarter and how that would turn around a less than stellar financial performance that year. It was going to release then for business reasons no matter what, here we seem the same process, their business model being more important than the game. Which is good business sense (hugely over running your budget say can be disastrous), unless you take it too far which is what happened with Anthem, FO76, CP 2076 and I guarantee we will be adding another to that list next year, it is now an endemic bad practise.

They should renamed the game to Cyberpunk 2076... because the game was launched a year too early
Pretty clever, I see what you did there.

    ;)

Maybe that would have been better. We all know what happens in 2077 and it ain't pretty.

If it is PS4 copy I would return it. Also is your son an adult, because this game is sensor overload on sexual themes. IMHO P.C. and Next Gen consoles are going to give the best experience.
Thanks for the advice, he's 28 so no worries there, but I'll see if he'd rather have the PC version.

I will buy it in 6 months or so. They will have fixed most of the bugs and improved performance by then. This took about half a year with The Witcher 3 too. So far from what I've seen, the game seems awesome as RPG. It reminds me a bit off Deus Ex (the original)

Also, this game should only have been released on next gen and PC imo. I can understand how the PS4 players feel robbed.
But then I also think pre-ordering is plain stupid. But a lot of people still do it and will do again with the next big titles.

    The vultures are circling.

Imagine being a game developer and trying to deliver under the weight of insane and unrealistic expectations, and then try to fix, polish, and fail because again... the world expects unreasonable amounts of greatness because of the Witcher III.

Uh, PC version didn't seem too buggy, reached level 50, there were some stuck in phone call bugs, some no npc talking bugs, and some stuck in map bugs for me, but easily fixed with loading a save from like 2 minutes prior... idk... Didn't seem too bad to me...
